I think it's a good hire for Kansas. Gill has some experience in the Big XII football and he has done well in Buffalo. Granted, some people may disagree for this year, but that Buffalo team was somewhat underclassmen heavy.

Well, he has a history of this kind of run-ins. He was reprimanded several years ago for his behavior at his kid's high school football game when he verbally attacked a referee during the game. And he did the same thing in Manhattan during youth football. And as for a replacement, if this were to happen, my money is on Randy Edsall.

Damn. Well that'll do it. You want him gone or no? I can't remember which side of the fence you're on. I don't necessarily want him gone unless that stuff is true. But his leash has gotten way shorter after this disaster of a season, which reshaped my perception of him as a coach. This team, at the worst, should have been 7-5. We'll be lucky to go 6-6 at this point. It was a total failure for the coaching staff. Take this with a grain of salt. A player have filed a formal complaint that he was choked and verbally abused by Mangino. A few of the other players have stated the same. He's been told to resign by Thursday or he will be publically fired.

Honestly, it would be dumb for Dayton Moore to pull this trade. Callaspo's defense isn't great, but it's not the worst. But this is Dayton Moore we're talking about here, so I'm not too pleased about hearing this news, as a Royals fan. With that being said, if the Royals are looking for a catcher, I would imagine they are looking for a MLB-ready catcher. Lord knows they need a catcher in a bad way, because John Buck/Miguel Olivo combo was the fail. -

1. Apologies to the Iowa fans. I was hoping Iowa was going to be able to run the table to a chance of a NC game, since the wife's family is from Iowa. Unfortunately, that looks like it's not going to happen. 2. Got back from Manhattan. Was a great crowd. Pretty much a missed oppiturnites game for both teams, if you will. Didn't help KU/Reesing by committing 3 turnovers (1 INT and 2 fumbles) and 10 points were from those 3 turnovers (Could had been 13, but the FG was missed). Lots of missed field goals. Shoddy playcalling. 3. What the hell happened to Missouri? Baylor?!? Oh my goodness. I am now wondering if Pinkel is now going to be on the hotseat....

I guess I have a hard time of understanding why he would plead not guilty, if he, per the article, immediately complied the officer's request to hand over the drug and a marijuana pipe from the car’s center console, not to mention that he was tagged going 74 in a 60 MPH zone. Hello? You know you are busted. Accept the responsibility and move on.

What's funny about this is, the Chicago media outlets and the White Sox are reporting it. However, the Royals have yet to comfirm this. And if you go to the www.kcroyals.com site, it simply says on their news link "KC's Teahen to White Sox for Getz, Fields?" So, this trade hasn't "officially" happened yet. -
Good for you guys. I'd also keep an eye on Derrion Thomas, who I believe, will be going to Missouri after he completes his one year stint in Longview Community College in Lee's Summit. He's the son of the late Derrick Thomas, for those who are interested.
