    Good news, Vogelsong sucks... bad news, Buster's gonna be in the lineup... I will be upset if the Cubs don't score a bunch on Vogelsong. Obviously I'm pulling for Bryant for rookie of the year, but today's game was kind of a tossup. Hopefully this game Bryant brings his "A" game. Go Cubs!

    As both a Giants and Cubs fan, I must say I hope the Cubs sweep this series. Right now it's Adv. Cubs... Don't have to face Bumgarner, Vogelsong tomorrow, Buster is sitting out tonight, and Panik is on the DL. People around here are going nuts about the Duffy vs. Bryant race for best rookie. Should be fun to watch.

    Ok, I'm going to go watch the blackhawks and/or the Giants lose instead of this... at least that's not horrifyingly frustrating. I still think the Cubs should win.

    my feed is like a minute or two behind... so I'm dealing with a roller coaster here reading this thread... bad, good, I can't tell, no faith restored in the umps though... The fact we can clearly see he's safe, and still don't know what the umps are going to call... MAKES NO SENSE

    yes, considering that the pitcher would no longer be leading off the next inning. I don't buy it, you have to score runs, getting one more position through the order is not a significant enough gain to rule out more chances to score. Coghlan has been hitting the ball hard, with bad luck... the chance of an extra base hit is not out of the question. so if he hits a double, he's in scoring position for a guy with a career .120 batting average. That's a whole lot better than being on first for a guy with career .120 average.
