  1. Might give whole new meaning to the term "wide screen"
  2. Nic Jackson, playing in the field for the first time tonight, gets a leadoff double in the 4th.
  3. I tuned in just to catch the very end of the farm report, sponsored by NorthsideBaseball.com, then went back to Daytona. Now I'm getting nothing.
  4. That "celebrity" interview was brutal.
  5. Hagerty starts out shaky with 2 walks, then gets a fly out and a "strike'em outthrow 'em out DP Fuld starts out Daytona in the 1st with a single, followed up by advancing to 3rd on a throwing error, then scores on a wild pitch. Spearman flies out. Nic Jackson grounds out to 1st. Fox grounds out.
  6. Well, so far Texeira seems to have recovered somewhat, 400/455/500/955 is a decent line, but no HR's in 22 PA's.
  7. I just found the actual list. First one was NL-only. this is the full list. Sorry for the mix-up. RCAA RCAA 1 Babe Ruth 1795 2 Barry Bonds 1502 3 Ted Williams 1475 4 Ty Cobb 1369 5 Lou Gehrig 1247 6 Stan Musial 1204 7 Mickey Mantle 1099 8 Rogers Hornsby 1084 9 Tris Speaker 1053 10 Hank Aaron 1032 The bottom ten is the full list of the bottom 10 (since 1900). No one-league-or-the-other there. No wonder they could get by without chemistry.
  8. Jones by a country mile. Murton isn't a slug on the basepaths, but he runs like he's constipated. :D Shall we have him pimp Metamucial? Does MLB test for that?
  9. I hope Jacque's on the ballot too.
  10. I know nobody cares, but felt the need to share. Mrs. Blink is gone for the weekend so I get to enjoy a Cubs game the way I did back in the old days when I was in graduate school and she was at work. I got a quarter chicken (dark) from the local equivalent of Harold's Chicken Shack, a quart of Busch (Stroh's not available locally) and turned on the Cubs. Hope the results are different than they ususally were back in the old days!
  11. Gallagher retires the side in order in the 5th, 7 K's so far. DCubs lead 3-0. Jemel Spearman has an RBI sac fly to go with his 2 bagger. Nice recovery from last night.
  12. Gallagher has no runs and 5 K's through 4 in Daytona.
  13. Craig flies out to the track, the announcers thought for sure it was gone.
  14. In the bottom of the 2nd Craig works a walk after starting 0-2, goes to 2nd on a single by Salas. Salas gets picked off. Craig then goes to 3rd on a WP, and scores on a single by Simokaitis. Nice run creation. Also, Jemel Spearman, after 5 K's last night, got a double in his first AB tonight.
  15. Daytona is in the middle of the 2nd inning and I've only gone to buffer hell once so far tonight. Gallagher has looked good through 2 scoreless innings. Announcers are complimenting the 1st out strikes.
  16. Just back from the accountants (Yikes!) but thought I'd share that SportsCenter on ESPN Radio credited ROGER Cedeno with the RBI Triple. Hopefully that confusion is short-lived.
  17. Off to the accountants - good thing my Premium is paid ahead :)
  18. And thanks Dusty for having the foresight to play Neifi. Walker probably would've just clogged the bases. Just say no to base clogging Has a HR ever been overturned because there were guys clogging the bases?
  19. Wow - that looked better in digital!!!
  20. Could be worse - I have to meet with my income tax accountant and the news is not going to be good. :x
  21. I have a choice of a crappy analog feed for WGN or digital on MLB EI with Cards announcers. Eyes or ears?
  22. Well, if weight is the criteria I'm available!
  23. More reason to hate Neifi. He assaults the elderly. Are you calling my wife elderly?
