thanks for the updates fred. you aren't alone. they have the draft on the tv here at work so i can't watch the game. it's appreciated.

what i don't understand is this: even if dusty put barrett as a decoy with a left handed pitcher in, if melvin leaves the lefty in anyways, then what? he would have to pull barrett because he wouldn't hit then show his hand. so it doesn't matter. am i being very ignorant in this?

it's really a pleasure to watch greg maddux pitch. both the strikeouts to weeks and fielder were on high pitches neither saw on tape but maddux knew he could get away with today because of the wind.

He was getting booed on Opening weekend at Wrigley - that's freaking ridiculous. But his comments to the media about the fans and comparing them to Twins fans were equally as ridiculous. what did he say?
