  1. Dane Fife is leaving his head coaching job at IPFW to become an assistant coach on Izzo's staff at Michigan State. :?
  2. I think Bogans needs to shoot more. :good:
  3. I'll bet you could figure that out on RetroSheet in less than 4 minutes !!! ;) I just went there but I think I've had too much beer to figure it out. I was just curious about the Cubs record on my birthday. I don't necessarily track such data on my own but I did see them play on my bday once (4/12/92) and they beat the Cards 4-2 on a 3-run HR by Hector Villanueva. \:D/ This is the slyest birthday dropping that I've ever seen. Happy birthday! LOL thanks. :hello:

  5. Hey Fred what is the Cubs record on April 12th? :-k
  6. I'm going to Wrigley on May 7th. First trip since a Cubs-Sox game in 1999! Strange but true. Never really intended to stay away that long. I attended many games during the 90's.
  7. Haha, I was just watching Pawnstars and some guy was selling those golden pants trinkets that Ohio State players receive for beating Michigan...I guess it isn't just the current Buckeyes players who have made money on those things. http://www.cleveland.com/buckeyeblog/index.ssf/2011/04/behind_the_ohio_state_gold_pan.html
  8. Yeah but still the Cubs were 4-3 before this game. I think that is too early for apathy to set in for the season but maybe I'm wrong. Personally I have been thinking the Bulls & Blackhawks respective drives towards the playoffs have had something to do with it too. I've been pretty apathetic since about April 2010. There is just a general sense of apathy from Cubs fans right now. Not all but many. Its why the crowds are dwindling, its why the game threads and Cubs posts in general have dropped significantly from 2 years ago. Heck the last 10 years seem like a golden age compared to the Cubs teams I grew up with in the late 80's and 90's. Outside of 1989 and 1998 there was really nothing at all to get excited about during those years. But maybe the latest generation of fans are different. Myself I never get too down on the Cubs until they actually do play themselves out of contention which in the NL Central tends to take a lot of effort to do. This Cubs team has been far from perfect so far but also not a total disaster.

  10. Pena strikes out swinging on a full count. :( Well at the very least they made Narveson throw nearly 30 pitches.
  11. Aramis reaches base on a strikeout. 1st & 3rd, 2 outs.
  12. 4 pitches to retire the first two batters. :?
  13. Thank you for that double. Yeah. Hopefully he can start sucking less in his other AB's though.
  14. 9 pitches to get through the bottom of the 8th. Nice. :good:
  15. Byrd stylin' with the .310 BA and matching .310 OBP.
