Yeah, we are screwed. UCLA is too tough. Wait... I said "tomorrow night" because I meant either UCLA or Georgetown. (UCLA was discussed earlier because of Raisin, but Georgetown did seem like a perfectly built team to take advantage of UCLA's youth.) Sure you did.

Perea and Jurkin have been granted an exception to travel to New York with the team (timing is weird since the team is already there?) and the appeals hearing will be on Friday. It would be nice to have these guys back for the UNC game. Edit - apparently the appeals hearing is tomorrow now. That would be funny if they got cleared to play against UCLA.

I watched most of the UCLA-Indiana State game and yeah I wasn't overly impressed. UCLA didn't seem to have much discipline on the offensive end, just kind of jacking up shots. During that broadcast the announcers said Smith was in much better shape compared to last season? Good god, how much did he weigh last year? 8-[

If IU and UCLA do play, I actually expect IU to lose. IU is undersized right now and UCLA is pretty darn huge (including in the backcourt -- while IU can go bigger at guard, they start small). IU currently has one true interior player (a really good one, no doubt) and two players that are hybrid type college forwards (Watford, Hollowell), though Watford has certainly improved his rebounding/interior play. Wuss.

Alabama has 2 good wins this season, 1 over a team that damn near lost to Ole Miss today and got taken well into the 2nd half by FCS Towson, and the other to a team ND also beat. That is a cool story, I'd keep my money on Bama if that game occurs.

It would be fun if it came down to a sub .500 team going to the Rose Bowl. Would they just cancel the auto-bid? Could they get there without getting 3 more wins? 2 more to catch UW in the division and 1 more in the title game. They're 3-5, if they won the two to catch UW that would put them at 5-5, if they lost the other 2 they would be at 5-7. UW would have to lose out though and that obviously won't happen. Then a win in the B1G Championship game would make them 6-7, right? If Wisconsin loses to Indiana, I don't think it is out of the question that UW could lose out. They host Ohio State and travel to Penn State after that.

Should we be pulling for an Oregon/IU Rose Bowl? #-o Don't get me wrong, I don't think IU will win the division lol. But is funny to me that it is even remotely possible after an 0-3 start. Why couldn't Wisconsin have gotten a bowl ban too? :P
