    Some storms have rolled through NE Indiana but they came and went fairly quickly. Hopefully the game isn't effected, I'm pretty pumped up for a Sunday night game in August where a win puts the Cubs back in first place. :D

    I doubt that, they just took three of four from the Brewers with Reyes, Wells, Maroth, and Thompson going for them. They will be players. Turns out it was worse! :D 1-4 with one game to play. They're not very good. 1-5 against the Pirates and Nationals. DOH! :lol:

    I know it's not of the same importance, but that is almost as great as MIL losing. Cards and their ignoramus fans still thought they had a chance going into this week. We play PIT and WSH, perfect time to get right back in it! Heh. Nice 1-5. Thanks for playing. And thanks for not trading any of your vets and setting back the future of the franchise for a few years. That and we had a few folks here who had started to sweat about the Cards after they won that series against Milwaukee. 8-)

    The freedom to curse can be a good thing. The NFL board I post at pretty much lets it all fly in terms of language used but personal attacks are discouraged and shot down pretty effectively. But I've got a filthy mouth and I don't expect everyone to agree. It just can be nice to say what you really think about a given game or player without holding back. :wink:

    i love the fact that when the cubs win on the brewers board EVERY SINGLE GAME cubs we're lucky. When we started winning all the close games LUCK that's all it is. that's what they would all say. I wonder if they realized how many 1 run games they were winning at the beginning of the year to get such a lead on us. I like this post:

    Somehow I've never found myself all that concerned about how many non-Cubs fans pull for the Cubs. :lol: Winning a title would make the 2007 Cubs about as far from "just another team" as you can get Beano! Get back to the buffet table.

    Dempster seems to pitch worse in non-save situations. That is my impression, I'm sure somebody else can quickly disprove it. When your offense can't generate more than 2 runs you have to look there when dishing out blame too.
