You guys got hosed on that last foul call that produced the winning free throw. But then again, I guess getting the 3 point play out of that drive to the basket was kind of fortunate so maybe it all balances out? Lickliter is doing a hell of a job getting that team ready to play, just a shame they don't have the personnel to win some of these games yet. I can actually not hate Iowa now that Alford is gone. :mrgreen:

They were ranked fairly high in the preseason rankings so naturally they have edged their way up the polls with a 17-1 start. But even as an IU fan, I've felt a sense of reservation about this team....I'm not sure how good they really are. This game today is just disgusting. I don't think they are bad or anything, just lots and lots of close games. I see them as a Sweet 16 team, that's about all. Oh I did not take offense and I tend to agree with you on that assessment. We are pretty good but not quite in the same category as UCLA, Memphis, Kansas, etc. With some bracket luck we could be a Final Four darkhorse perhaps.

you gotta admit that brock got hacked there at the end...what a joke. I've been watching Big Ten basketball for 20 years. I know our refs suck...it's just a fact of life. they suck even more in bloomington. Homecourt advantage! :mrgreen:

#24 for Iowa....Johnson....that kid just hit the most unlikely sequence of 3 consecutive three point shots that you will ever see. IU hangs on to win 79-76 but it was only that close because of that kid hitting shots that are just unreal. He hit one from at least 35 feet and the 3rd one was a turnaround shot from near halfcourt.....wow. I'm amazed, all credit to him. Iowa has heart, I'll say that.

Iowa up 42-39 with about 5 minutes gone in the 2nd half. Wow. Lickliter is simply the better coach, hands down.

Good to see Hawaii take a beating. It was laughable hearing people try to compare them to last year's Boise State team. They aren't even in the same ballpark as that BSU team.
