This is stupid. Hendry is bad at his job, but, from what everyone in baseball says, seems to be a decent guy. And pretty much a simpleton. One of his biggest failures is that he bends over backwards to accomodate players who don't deserve it. There's no way he thought about his response as a way to deflect attention from his team. Furthermore, his response didn't deflect attention from his terrible job when you consider that he said "Obviously, it was a one-year situation that I brought him in here to try and help us from the left side. Obviously it was a mistake..." It is more than enough to criticize him for doing a terrible job as Cubs GM. But carrying over your feelings about his job performance to his personality is utterly ridiculous. Whoa Hendry is a nice guy? This changes everything. Stop the presses.

I've been a customer since 2003, so they damn well better give me the same thing. I haven't heard anything about that so far. i just got a postcard in the mail today about it. it'll be channels 700-705 Man I hope I get that deal too! I have been a customer since 2004. I've actually ordered it in the past too but last year I did not have it.

Randle El returns to the Steelers signing a 3 year deal. TO to visit the Bengals. Seneca Wallace traded to Cleveland.

Milton should still be a Cub. I mean for cripes sake, we have opened ourselves to the remote possibility of Carlos freaking Silva making our roster. Granted it should not happen but I have little faith in the baseball gods to smite him from our sight.

Wow I forgot what winning felt like. It had been so long. Elston and Hulls were huge today. Capo did some nice things too. Verdell did some scoring too but man his turnovers drive me nuts.

Peyton Manning at age 25 had 23 picks. 26 touchdowns, 23 picks......more yards of course (4131) but since yards and touchdowns don't matter who cares right? lol

Comparing the Bears to the Redskins because they are signing Peppers is just ridiculous. To be the Redskins they would have to be pursuing big name FA every season for a few years. The Bears normally try to plug holes mainly via the draft but right now the ship has too many leaks and the Bears have too few draft picks to address them all. That and Lovie/Angelo have the heat on them now.........so screw it. Spend the money, fill some holes and hopefully it pays off this season. If not, oh well we get a new coaching staff and maybe even a new GM. I call it a no lose situation. :D)

The names that I have heard floating around in transfer rumors are Watford and Jones. I had not heard anything about Elston. There also have been very cryptic rumors that don't name any names but the general theme is fans "might be surprised". Which just makes me feel great to think about. ](*,) If we lose Jones but keep Watford then I can live with that. Not that I have a negative opinion of VJIII just saying if we have to lose somebody I'd rather lose him than Watford. Also there was a rumor that Jeremiah Rivers and Watford got in a fight in practice and perhaps that is part of the source of bad feelings.....again, if you believe the rumors that Watford is considering leaving. I'd have a hard time believing a scrap in practice would cause a dude to want to leave though. It is the last thing I want to be thinking about right now. We are trying to build this team up, not have to replace parts and start over in certain areas.

I am not worried yet. I still support Crean. Yes I think he can get us back into the Top 20. The question in my mind is whether he could get us to elite status (Top 10, Final Four, etc) and I don't know that he will do that but we have to get the program back on its feet first and that is no easy task under the circumstances. I think he has pursued some big names for 2010 and it has not been for lack of effort that no studs committed. Sheehey and Oladipo will give us more athleticism at the very least. Overall he was just behind on the 2010 class IMO because he had to bust tail in 2008 just to field a team then worked hard on the 2009 class........I think 2011, 2012 and so on are the classes where he has the normal amount of time to scout kids out, establish early relationships, etc so I do expect to land overall better quality recruits in the future. 2011-12 is the season where I think we could get back in the Top 25. That would be Crean's 4th season and we could actually have juniors/seniors as our core by then. Or it might take that 5th year, I dunno. I'm a little nervous about all the chatter currently about possible transfers this summer. :?

Be thankful Texas Tech fell apart. ETA: And by fell apart, I mean started to play real teams. Well yeah, that too. However I must say I have rarely seen any IU fans wanting PFK (Pat Freaking Knight) to coach our team. lol

From the short glimpses I've seen of him he's added absolutely nothing to his game since Georgetown. Then you are missing a lot because quite frankly he has been pretty impressive at times.

Yeah I don't expect all the underclassmen to return next season but I don't know who will be leaving. Hopefully not Watford, there were rumors about him leaving recently. He hasn't been playing well but he still has tons of talent and potential. I think we need to get a new big man coach, whoever is working with them is not doing a very good job IMO. It has been a wasted season for Muniru, he should have been redshirted if he is only going to play minimal mop up time.

This. Please just make Nate Robinson go away. The fact he now has won THREE different dunk contests just shows how much it is a joke. OMG HE IS SHORT AND HE CAN DUNK. And he always needs multiple tries to make his dunks, if could nail most of them on the first try I might cut him some slack. Granted most of these scrubs fail in that department too. At least Dwight Howard made the thing somewhat exciting again for a couple years. Now it is back to scrubs again.
