  1. they said 80 on WGN pregame. Thankya, sir. If lilly keeps on this pace he should/could last 6 I hope so. Leaving a 1 run lead to this bullpen for 4 innings would be frightening.
  2. Nice DP. Tracy hasn't been too bad at all defensively at 3B tonight.
  3. Safety was a position of need and it sounds like he could step in and help right away so I like it. There was a huge run on CB before the Bears pick and also a couple of higher rated guards were taken right before that pick, otherwise it might have went differently. Given how things unfolded, I'm fine with the pick.
  4. Okay I'm slow here but I had been watching the draft for a bit........Chad Tracy is batting cleanup? lolwhut
  5. Well yeah the ball has to at least clear the wall to be a HR. Haha Brewers get nothing. :-))
  6. I'm pulling for 3OT now. Heck why not 6OT. I like the epic OT playoff games.
  7. Matt Cassell the one year wonder. Scott Mitchell was really good for one season too.
  8. Obviously Lou moving Z to the bullpen has given the team a spark. Well played Lou, well played. :hello:
  9. I found a blog link on this. Neither rivals nor scout has him ranked yet. Hmmm.
  10. Yeah a goal soon would be nice.
  11. Woo nothing like losing a series to a AAA team. :hello:
  12. I don't recall position players pitching in close extra inning games that often at all. Seems like managers are more likely to run a starter out there than a position player if the game is in extras. I'd say position players definitely pitch more often in the extreme blowout games. Every time I've seen a Cubs position player pitch, it has been a blowout. I remember Doug Dascenzo being a pretty decent blowout game relief pitcher. :hello:
  13. So I guess IU had a visit the other day with Cody Larson who had recently decommitted from Iowa. Don't really know much about him except that he is rated 4 stars at the PF position. Lord knows we need some help at the big man positions.
  14. I assumed Silva was being pulled because of some kind of injury related concern. I'm sure Silva did not want to come out of the game whether he had a stiff shoulder or not. So he says one thing, Lou says another.........whatever. My biggest issue was giving Caridad that much rope to hang himself. After the first two batters it should have been fairly obvious he did not have it at all. At that point I think Lou has to be ready to pull the guy at any moment and then the bases get loaded and he is still in the game. That is my biggest beef with the game tonight. Now if Silva truly was just fine to keep pitching then yeah he should have stayed in the game. But Berg came in and sat the Reds down in the 7th so.......I just think if Lou manages the Caridad thing better in the 8th then the Cubs would have won.
  15. They get paid to swing the bat dude. \:D/
