  1. Yeah Floyd was impressive last night. Shane looked like he might have a chance after catching him with a couple good shots in round 2 but after that it was pure domination by Mayweather.
  2. I'm assuming the bolded part is addressed to me. Well in the case of Offutt he came out and said he would have committed to IU in the first place if our coaching situation would have been more stable when he was being recruited. He said Mike Davis "somewhat" recruited him and at that time the writing was kind of on the wall for Mike anyways. So I really don't doubt his sincerity all that much and like you say, he is just a walk on so the risk is low. Anything at all he can add to our team, it is better than nothing. Negedu...........well, I think you are right about Crean bringing on Jobe to try and land Negedu too. Although I think another aspect to the Jobe recruitment was the fact he is a great student and our APR was just getting hammered from the end of the Davis era and the Sampson teams. So if you have to suck for a couple years, it doesn't hurt to add a kid who can help your APR in the meantime. At least that is my theory, lol. I think in the case of both players had IU basketball been in a stable position, they would have been here to begin with. But whatever, in the case of Negedu I think he has enough talent to be a positive addition to next year's team if he can get the NCAA to waive sitting out a year.
  3. So many of these 2010 kids IU tried to get in on at the last minute, the odds were against them despite Crean's best efforts. So to get a couple of kids like Offutt and Negedu who actually do want to be Hoosiers, I'll take 'em. Offutt seems like a nice addition for a walk on and Negedu obviously has some talent and could help us. The class of 2011 is where it is at right now. If Crean can get Jeremiah Davis and Cody Zeller then I think things will really start to fall in place in terms of subsequent recruiting classes. If not.........well I'm prepared for a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth on IU boards if we don't get those kids. And to be honest I'd be disappointed too.
  4. From zagsblog: I like the way she put that. Sounds like some careful wording. Well hey he hasn't been fired yet! :hello:
  5. Hey Andy there are rumors going around about Mike Brey possibly being forced to resign at ND for violating their code of conduct. Anything to that? http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/under-the-golden-dome/2010/04/notre-dame-basketball-mike-brey-rumors-swirling.html
  6. I DON'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW! Really Lou? You are going to pinch hit Koyie freaking Hill for Soto with a man on base and nobody out in the 9th just to have Hill bunt. Really? That just happened? :banghead:
  7. He was a solid LB for IU too. I'm also glad the Bears are giving him a shot.
  8. Yeah. I kind of like it. Brewerfan.net is always a fun read after the Cubs beat the Brewers. \:D/
  9. Also screw you Len for the false alarm there......lol
  10. Oh man for a second there I thought we might have seen a Z slam. That would have been great to watch him round the bases in one shoe, lol.
  11. Z entering his first relief appearance with men on base, it worries me.
  12. Don't act so shocked. He's been doing so for like the last two weeks. I know he has been hitting better but I've rarely ever seen him have an AB that lasted that long. He's had quite a few really long AB's the last few games. That's what I was talking about. Oh. I have missed a lot of games in the last week or so. :(
  13. Don't act so shocked. He's been doing so for like the last two weeks. I know he has been hitting better but I've rarely ever seen him have an AB that lasted that long.
  14. Soriano is having a really good AB. Nice D, lol.
