  1. ugh, what's the point hopefully to take a rotation spot in Chicago 8-) Thats not even funny in the slightest. Miller hopefully is done with the big league club. Maybe he will hit 85 on the gun tomorrow Keep in mind Nathan is a Cardinals fan. :pukel: Ah I didnt know that :D
  2. Too bad he cant play shortstop
  3. On Comcast they were saying Floyd didnt think it was as bad as he first thought, and he was scheduled to get tomorrow off so.
  4. His bat is already coming around....right after I dropped him from my fantasy team because of an entire 1st half of suckage. LOL hey I waited it out till the All Star Break, and when Matsui came back I picked him up
  5. His bat is already coming around....right after I dropped him from my fantasy team because of an entire 1st half of suckage. do you play in a four team league or something? dropping andruw jones??? 6 team, and I picked up Hideki Matsui after dropping him. Jones was just killin me hitting below .200
  6. The guy has 39 starts in over 2 years yes, he got hurt? Pitchers do that, almost all of them do over a 7 year period. That dosen't make him injury prone, that makes him normal. Injury prone is a Burnett, Wood, Prior, Harden, I just don't see why you'd put Sheets in that category. Because that was just the last 2 years, I didnt even include the years prior to that hes been hurt. He hasnt pitched a full season without going on the DL since 2004. May 29, 2007: Missed 1 game (finger injury). May 28, 2007: Finger injury, day-to-day. Jul 24, 2006: Missed 72 games (shoulder injury). May 10, 2006: Shoulder injury, 15-day DL (retroactive to May 3rd). May 7, 2006: Shoulder injury, day-to-day. Apr 16, 2006: Missed 11 games (back injury). Mar 30, 2006: Back injury, 15-day DL (retroactive to March 24th). Oct 2, 2005: Missed 33 games to the end of the regular season (back injury). Sep 20, 2005: Transferred from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL (back injury). Aug 27, 2005: Back injury, 15-day DL. May 28, 2005: Missed 30 games (viral infection). Apr 29, 2005: Viral infection, 15-day DL (retroactive to April 21th). Apr 24, 2005: Illness, day-to-day.

  8. LOL doesnt seem like he does Tim, but be careful, you dont want to wake the sleeping giant.

  11. Actually the Ted Lilly signing was by far his best signing and was known to be the best at the time, IMO. Given the price of pitching he didn't overpay once you factor in he's a guy who has always had good K rates and always played in the offense happy AL East. Soriano wasn't very good. Marquis was terrible. DeRosa was useless and overkill. Floyd was overkill. Ward was alright. wrong
  12. Why argue with an egotistical [expletive]? Nothing we say will ever change the great mind that is Meph.
  13. So who was it that was trying to say that Sheets wasnt injury prone, Ender, wasnt it?
  14. Who? Ah hell, I dont care hes my new fav player lol
  15. So far the moves he made look pretty good, The contracts given however, are pretty ugly, and could be a bitch in a few years. However, this team still has big glaring weaknesses at SS, C, and CF, and if hes really wanting to make the most of this team, 2 of those really need to be addressed.
  16. If you have DirecTV, the Extra Innings channels are 734-741. Just flip over to them and you should be fine. 732 and 733 also have special features - showing multiple games at the same time, etc. Ok thnks for some reason I was thinking this had to do with watchin the games on the comp.
  17. ok so I feel like an idiot for asking this, but how do I take advantage of the free EI? Thnks for the help
  18. One of the guys that led us to within 5 outs of the World series and always acted with class. Oh ok thanks for the clarification, now I can go to bed fulfilled.
  19. Or one of the outfielders would have to fall into a sinkhole. TIE GAME!
  20. Rockies??? In other news, Cards pitching has surrendered 23 runs and 37 hits in the last two games. Their forays to the trash heap (Wells, Maroth) haven't gone so well. Yea, its pretty funny, one of my Cards fan buddies when Maroth was making his first start on ESPN, hears the announcers say "Maroth is kind of like Tom Glavine, in the fact that he is a lefty, and will give you 200 innings". He then calls me, raving about Maroth, saying ESPN just compared him to Tom Glavine. Im like I heard what he said and you are a jackass if you think they were comparing the 2.
  21. SHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  22. He probably will be... I can't imagine that he's here to be a backup to a guy who can't hit a beach ball right now. But sitting him against a (normally) tough RHP is not a bad idea. He'll play tomorrow against Wandy, and he'll probably play about four games next week. Lets hope so. Even though his line didnt look good yesterday, Soto hit the ball hard 2 of the 5 times up. The k's he looked pretty bad on, but definatly no worse than Bowen has looked today.
