  1. Hitting .218 for the month of July, and thats before todays 0-5. Thats in over 70 Abs., so it hasnt just been the last 3 days.
  2. The only time lately he has played against lefties was when DLee was on suspension isnt it?
  3. fontenot definitely projects as a better hitter than Cedeno. I wouldn't do that at all. My opinion is that Fontenot is at least an average hitter for a second baseman. Let him play through his slump. 14 for his last 64 AB's is a pretty prolonged slump dont you think? Thats his numbers since July 1st So which is closer to the real Mike Fontenot, the one who hit .400 basically for the month of June, or the one who is hitting .218 for the month of July?
  4. Franchising him would make some sense. Angelo got a steal on this deal though.
  5. go here http://www.bearstrainingcamp.com it gives a bunch of details about the whole thing Thanks for pointing me in the right direction although i found the actual site is http://www.bearstrainingcamp.info oops sorry man, but glad you found it none the less.
  6. I don't think most of them actually think that. Ive recieved 11 text messages from Cardinal fans since the game ended proclaiming" Cubs better watch their ass, cause we are on the move". I just responded that the Cubs always watch their ass around the Cardinals, Edmonds scares them :D you have too many friends who are cardinal fans No, you have too many friends who are idiots. ;) Now that one I have a hard time arguing against. lol

There are alot of Cub fans in the Peoria area as well, but Id hate to give a figure on how split it really is in this area.

  9. Why is he still starting? We have Cedeno up who was tearing up AAA, so why not move Theriot back to 2nd and see what Cedeno can do? He cant be much worse than what Fontenot has been since the All Star Break. These numbers are his numbers since the All Star Break and before todays 0-5 performance .225 .319 .225 .544 Seriously, hes approaching a sub .500 OPS since the Break Let Cedeno get his chance
  10. What is so crazy about that? Seriously? The fact that the Cards beat the Brewers at home should come as no surprise. The Brewers suck on the road. The Cardinals still have Mike Maroth and Kip Wells in their starting rotation. They arent going anywhere with that pitching.
  11. thats because the Reds announcers dont like Dunn. he is very very underappreciated in that town
  12. Agreed. However Im sure Angelo has already approached that possible problem before making this trade. I think Walker could excel in this system. Hey National "experts" hows the crappy Bears offseason looking now? Keep doubting them
  13. Hes going to take alot of pressure off Tommie Harris. I think he could excel in Lovies system. He wants some big money which is why the Bills traded him, but I would think Angelo has already approached that problem.
  14. Bears fans, Bears just traded for DT Darwin Walker from the Bills for an undisclosed 08 pick...Great deal
  15. wow I love this deal.
  16. and now the trainer is out there, wtf. something to do with his foot doesnt look serious, hope its the blisters again
  17. that pitch was nasty, it had so much movement wow
  18. While I agree with getting him signed, there is noway in hell its the biggest need before the deadline. We already have Z, so whether or not he signs now or later doesnt matter. This team needs another bat big time, and that is the biggest deal a Cubs can make
  19. 3-0 Milwaukee going to the bottom of the 3rd
  20. Estrada with a 2 rbi single 3-0 Mil in the 3rd
  21. Its back. The weather is heating up, wind wont be blowing in much, its back
  22. opposite field shot, I love having Lee back. If he keeps hitting for power it helps this lineup tons. I could still see Lee hitting 30
