  1. Wuertz is almost always good. When hes throwing strikes yes, but he does have a tendency to get a little wild. Dont take that as I hate Wuertz, because I like his arm alot.
  2. Soriano did the same thing we sending him to AAA? maybe just a slight difference in talent level. I understand that but I dont here anybody else saying Soriano was stupid for swinging. You cant have it both ways Soriano was stupid for swinging at the first pitch. Happy? But that doesn't mean we should send Soriano down to AAA. And clearly I was being serious about that. Sorianos plate approach(if you cant even call it that) is a freaking joke.
  3. Soriano did the same thing we sending him to AAA? Because Soriano can do good things with the bat and has shown the ability to do so. Ronny hasn't. Comparing Soriano to Cedeno is just stupid. I dont care what Soriano has done, him swinging at the first pitch was stupid along with Cedeno

  5. Better say the same for Soriano too not really, no why he swung at the first pich also

  7. cubs are gonna lose anyway... why crush the bullpen in the first game of the series? 4-0 is not insurmountable. Hamels has given up the long ball this year. Take him out and try holding them at 4-0, and who knows maybe they can start edging back into the game. They have been very good late in the game lately, and if I recall correctly, Phillys bullpen sucks I don't really trust our offense to come back in this game. Stranger things have happened this year

  9. when Lilly is good hes real good, but when hes bad, hes really bad. TAKE HIM OUT
  10. nope i dont want a serious injury just one to take him out of this game
  11. well Lilly was due for a terrible outing, and this is it, he has nothing.
  12. Damn, the crowd is energetic tonight. I forgot what it was like to be in Wrigley during a pennant race.
  13. well so much for pushing us over the top, I guess Hendry would rather settle for being right around .500 and hopeing to make the playoffs instead of making a move to push us over the top. Team isn't exactly hovering around .500 anymore... check the standings you are wrong. They are yet to reach 10 over, all it takes is a 3-4 game losing streak and they are right back down there. Add a 4 or 5 game winning streak and they have the best record in the NL. Gotta look at it both ways... Having the best record in the NL, is kind of like having the best tasting poop. Id rather push us to being a top team in the Majors, but if just hopeing to make the playoffs is ok with you then thats fine. I have a little higher standards, and its right there for the taking, but instead Hendry would rather sit back and "hope". I love posts like this. You have absolutely NO idea what Hendry has looked into and what trade opportunities he has explored. We are still 20+ hours away from the deadline. Who knows what he may be looking at. This isn't a defense of Hendry, but to emphatically state he's "hoping" without having any idea what he may be up to is silly. Im going off Bruces statement that he sees no deals being made, reading is comprehension.

And it still takes two teams to make a deal. The asking prices have been ridiculous, and the Cubs don't have to give up some of those players to get a little better here or there. Come on Bruce, you know its more fun to just rip people without actual knowledge and reason. On a side not, were you staying at the Marriott in Covington for the Cincy series? I thought I saw you. I was staying there as well. Sorry I look at things without my blue kool aid glasses like you do all the time. You defend everything Hendry, Lou or whoever else in this organization, and thats fine if you like mediocrity.
