  1. have you seen any reason to believe different with their previous AB's this game? It's not all about the Cubs approach. Hernandez is pitching well...give him credit. He won't pitch a CG though, and there's a good possibility he'll tire soon and wil be more hittable. of course its always the other pitcher, and not the Cubs approach. It amazes me how many "tip your cap" games the Cubs supposedly have What don't you like about the approach today? Cubs hitters have actually been quite patient today...I think it's at or above 4 pitches/plate appearance. El Duque's ERA is in the 2's...we're not talking about a slouch of a pitcher. The Cubs offense has been very good of late. The've been averaging over 5 runs a game over the last week or so... The Cubs try pulling everything everyday. There are a couple guys on this team(Theriot, Aram) who will go the other way but everybody else goes up trying to pull everything. Usually when you are trying to pull everything, you will either K or hit little weak ass grounders or pop ups, which is exactly what this offense is doing(minus Lees HR) The Cubs balls hit today: 6 pulled (2 for hits) 1 ball to center 7 balls hit the other way (1 hit) It certainly doesn't look like they are trying to pull everything. Just because the ball went the other way, doesnt mean they tried hitting that way. When trying to pull the ball you can still hit little cue shots and others the other way
  2. Jesus and Jones makes another routine pop up look interesting. BRING PIE BACK NOW!!

  5. Someone give him some gatorade during his next outting please. No kidding. It's not hard. Drink. I might point out that Zambrano should now be used only in the bullpen, a la Guzman and Piniella. LOL you have a point...DLEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. yea but the team didnt need any upgrade at the deadline
  9. A little more animated antics that he does when he K's somebody with the bases loaded, I dont think you can really explain it lol
  10. Cause we need the offensive force Jason Kendall in there
  11. Z's been all over the place today. He doesn't deserve to get the borderline calls right now. problem is its not borderline pitches the ump is not calling, its obvious strikes
  12. Z definatly not happy with this jackass ump and I dont blame him
  13. noway was that a freaking strike Jesus
  14. worhless....at lwast we have our real hitters up now with Z
  15. What the hell is up with the continuos horrible umpiring behind the plate for Cub games?
  16. So over/under on how many balls Jones misplays in this game?
  17. We badly need Z to go at least 7 innings, and 8 would be fantastic. Then when we are up 5-0 we can bring Kerry Wood into the game to end it....Sounds like a plan to me
  18. Jones is making himself look like a fool in the OF. Pie is 10x the defensive player, and the offense isnt much different with the potential for Pie to be alot better The sooner this team gets Jones out of CF and puts Pie in there and lets him play, the better.
  19. New link to brewers board. http://brewersfandemonium.yuku.com/
  20. Does this bet hold true for his board also? I think it should, Im sure the Card fans there would just love that  That's exactly what it is. If I win, he has a Cubs avatar at GRB. If I lose, I have a Cards avatar here. Ahh ok I thought it meant for here, but thats even better. I think you, or sombody here should get to make it also. Maybe a contest?
  21. A lot more about Greg in the article. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/cs-070801haugh,1,2567623.column?coll=cs-home-headlines BEAR DOWN I think the most impressive and positive thing about that article, is the fact that the person heaping all that praise on Olsen, is fellow TE Des Clark.
