    Im guessing it has something to do with Marshall is a free agent next year, and the Broncos declined to give him a contract extension last week. I think it was David Haugh from the Trib, speculating that if he becomes a free agent he would be interested in the Bears.

    There really isn't anything respectable about 12 walks in 21 innings. Other than that, his numbers look pretty respectable. If hes striking out more than 1 batter per inning, and allowing less than a hit per inning, you can deal with those walks from a starting pitcher.

    Heh go figure, the Cardinals finally face the ace of a pitching staff, and he leaves after 1 inning. They have been very fortuanate so far missing opposing teams #1 starters.

    You don't like Deng's injury history, but you want Shaq? Also, Luol Deng was better when he was 21 years old than John Salmons was this year, in his career year. Dengs injury history and monster contract or Shaqs injury history and expiring contract? Its a no brainer. Yea Deng was good as a 21 year old and has gotten progressively worse, and more injured every year since. Give me Salmons and his little contract over Deng and his contract every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

    all of our guys? who's sitting...soto and bradley? it's pretty reasonable to give your catcher a game off on a day game after night game. everybody has been wanting to get Hoff more at bats, and Bradley probably needs to be handled carefully. i don't see the big problem. Actually a third of our normal starters are sitting. Theriot, Soto, and Bradley.

    I really dont have a problem with Scales hitting 2nd in this lineup. Hes shown an ability to work the count and take a walk, and with Sori struggling, we need someone on in front of our 3-5 hitters. Also Im glad Bradley is being sat today, because that means he will be in the lineup tomorrow when Im at the game!

    I don't think it would be "suddenly." He's been a stud, as recently as 2007. And he just turned 24 years old. There's plenty of reason to pause when thinking about the trade. There is no reason to pause when thinking about the trade. Deng has been injured, has a monster contract, and you have a guy in Salmons who can replace whatever it is you hope Deng will be. Thats also not even figuring in the money off the books for the 2010 class, and the fact that Shaq is still productive, and could help this team win next year. Its a no brainer trade on the Bulls end.
