    Baseball players are dumb meatballs and nobody knows what motivates them besides money. When they pick for reasons that aren't obviously money, they pick for reasons that no dumdums on a message board could have predicted.

    He is gonna go to the White Sox because of their young core (basically entirely Theo’s fault for the Quintana trade) and because alternating roadies will make it easier to wives-share with Bryant.

    They are a legit threat to win the draft lottery. There are supposed to be three legit elite guys, but Hughes is at least Kane level and would be huge. If they want to win another Cup with this core, that would be the first step

    It's amazing that Charles the Cat is the only reporter that has any rumors at all about the Cubs so far and they almost all seem to be what we want to hear. I dunno, I'm worried they're gonna blow all their money on Harper and take themselves out on Arenado.

    For a front office that's made a big deal about character being as important as skill, they sure are willing to look past character when it's convenient... They mean "be obsessive about being good at your sport" character, not "don't beat up women" character.

    I don't think they're literally the worst defense in the league in the 4th by any means. It's just a real flaw that has shown up in a lot of games. It cost them the Packers game, it cost them the Dolphins game, and it made things uncomfortably close in both games this week. It's not going to stop them from easily winning the division, but it's the biggest reason I don't think they can beat LA and/or NO.

    Their ballhawking bailed out their tendency to give up long plays and long drives late. That pick by Eddie Jackson was insane, best I’ve seen all year.

    A divisional road win against a bad-but-not-terrible without Trubisky on the ludicrously short week. That’s impressive.

    Most fourth quarter points allowed in the NFL. Getting shredded on multiple drives this game late. It’s weird that you guys are pretending you don’t see it What do you attribute it to? Poor conditioning? Dunno. Maybe that, maybe teams call plays differently against them late. But it sure doesn’t seem like a fluke.

    Trubisky hurt, Shaheen and Sims out, and you’re worried about the best defense in the NFL? They sure do like to get ripped when they're tired. And I assume they'll be tired.
