    The only real arguments I can think of against this are: 1) Something changed with how much payroll the Ricketts were willing to give Theo between the time he signed Yu and now 2) Something changed regarding the FO's view of signing Harper (not that I agree just throwing it out there). 3) Epstein has a long history of flailing on free-agent pitching and just screwed up
