    i would love to have maddux as a pitching coach, but why would he do it? hes's made his millions, why would he drag his family to chicago for good and sign himself up to work everyday. at the very least, he's going to want a few years free from commitments. i know i would.

    What would be the point of faking this? Is he gonna have a hidden camera in the Stump the Schawb meeting place and then yell "GOTCHA!" when they arrive? OH, but the shame you'd feel if you fell for that..

    Do we really need yet another lefty-swinging outfielder? The guy we need to use is a red-haired dude who is already on the team. murton can play CF? where was he today? macias did play OK, though.

    someone mentioned elsewhere here that guzman could be put on the 60 day. if he's been shut down for the year though, why didnt they already do this?

    it seems we have a pretty low hit/run scored ratio. i guess thats a direct result of few walks. 6/6 for the phils today, to the cub 4/9. and we had quite a few doubles, too.

    i'd be willing to bet that prior only gives up 1 more run in 6 innings. this would mean we lose the game, of course, but i do think he will settle down.

    morris gives up 4 runs to the dodgers in the first, 4-2 dodgers. ledee with a 3 run homer.

    i thought this was a thread about nomar, or how much hustle or caution we will want from him. but i think hairstons play on tues. night cost them a run. if he gets to 2nd, walkers grounder moves him to 3rd, we end up scoring. i wouldnt bench him for it with macias as an alternative, but a good chewing out would have been necessary.
