  1. Someone complains of lack of originality and uses the trite rolling eyes emoticon. Pot, meet Kettle. We just expect more from you. Fat and gay is so last season. Don't have high expectations. I reserve the right to make fun of Ponson's obesity and Edmonds metrosexuality at whim.
  2. It's mostly fluff, but here's a nice article about Lee. I really like this quote. And a little on Lee's contract status.
  3. I did pick that up. I think he's thinking that the Cubs will give Cedeno his shot, he'll stumble, and Dusty will turn to the veteran that "saved" them last season. It's time to trade the malcontent~
  4. Here's an update on Prior, courtesy of Bruce Miles.
  5. Santana is starting and Zambrano is going to relieve him.
  6. I asked the wife about it, but she said the commute would be a bitch.
  7. Berkman could have played right had he not dropped out. Defensively, he would not have been good, but his bat would have been nice.
  8. Shouldn't get naked.
  9. Someone complains of lack of originality and uses the trite rolling eyes emoticon. Pot, meet Kettle.
  10. DO IT Yes, do it. But would the Reds do it? It's doubtful. The Reds would want Pie in any deal for Dunn.
  11. If Sean Marshall keeps pitching well this spring, how about Marshall + Ryu + Dopirak for Dunn?
  12. If Boston trades Arroyo, that would be a nice slap in the face since he took less money to sign with them. I already think we have a logjam of arms....so I don't know where he fits exactly.
  13. One of the biggest concerns with the 25-man I have proposed is what to do when Wood and Miller return from injuries. None of the pitchers in my bullpen have options, so simply bumping one to Iowa doesn't work. It likely means that either a position player like Pagan would have to be removed, thereby weaking the bench, a player (maybe Williamson) would have to be traded, or someone is exposed to waivers. Last question for anyone who can answer: Does Jerome Williams have options? If so, that creates one move that could happen to make room for Wood and Miller. It doesn't solve all the problems, though.
  14. Unless Jim Edmonds dies tomorrow, this is just a joke that shouldn't be taken seriously. And yes I laughed. And if he dies tomorrow, I'm singing "Roy, Rooooyyyy Oswalt" tomorrow.
  15. If I'm remembering correctly, Walker isn't very fond of Reese.
  16. Dopirak isn't ready. As impressive as he has looked, he has a lot of developing to do. Also considering he only plays first and Lee plays 155 or more games every year, Dopirak would only be able to serve as a pinch hitter. I think this would be my 25-man roster. C Barrett 1b Lee 2b Walker 3b Ramirez SS Cedeno LF Murton RF Jones CF Pierre SP Zambrano SP Prior SP Maddux SP Rusch SP Williams Bullpen CL Dempster Howry Eyre Ohman Wuertz Williamson Bench C Blanco IF Perez IF/OF Hairston OF/CI Mabry OF Pagan 1b/OF Sing I'd like to have Theriot there in the place of Mabry, but with Mabrys deal being guaranteed that's not going to happen.
  17. I think Neifi should be traded. We can't have that kind of disension in the clubhouse.
  18. Here's a blurb on Ramirez's injury.
  19. Somewhat? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/rocketsaucetd/428d7451.jpg Wow...he's the size of two Ponsons in that pic!
  20. If by midseason, you mean about to be released or traded...I'd say you're right on target.
  21. I don't think any of those are bad picks. I think you picked most of them a little earlier than you should have though.
  22. From sticking it somewhere you shouldn't.
  23. Cubs are now 4-1 on the spring. Gotta like that!
  24. It's not on WGN radio. All MLB webcasts are broadcast through MLB.com audio. Thanks. I wouldn't have known because I couldn't get the Cubs carrying station to come in at ALL. This also begs the question, would any of you recommend signing up for MLB.com services? Unfortunately, Mediacom couldn't "come to an agreement" with CSNC in the DM Ames area, thus I am left with only WGN games. I've been thinking about signing up for the online video feeds, but I've often wondered if the value was worth the cost. Any anbd all feedback would be greatl;y appreciated. The audio package is only $14.95. To me, it's worth that just for ST games. I'm not sure about MLB.tv as I use EI Extra Innings for my Cubs games in the season.
