  1. If only two teams from a conference can be in BCS bowls, then how is Wisconcin in the discussion. Wouldn't OSU and Michigan get those two spots?
  2. Cowboys back where they belong atop the NFC East!
  3. The signings for pitchers seem to be slow. My guess is that teams aren't as eager to throw out five and six year deals to pitchers and so the signings aren't happening as fast as they did for hitters. My guess is things won't heat up again until the winter meetings.
  4. That's an interesting scenario, but the Red Sox would either need a lot of young cheap talent or they would need a team to pitch in a large portion of the 51 million they used to post him.
  5. According the Boston Herald, there is a significant gulf between the Red Sox offer and Matsuzaka's asking price. Link.
  6. This article does not paint the signing in a positive light.
  7. It seems the interest in Wolf stems from the fact that Maddux not only wants two years but a raise as well. I read where Maddux wants a Mussina-like deal.
  8. I think a compromise should be reached where Pete can be enshrined but where he can't work in baseball. I don't think that ever will happen, but to me that's the most logical solution.
  9. Addai won that one for you. And victory for me as well!
  10. Boise and ND both look to be near-locks for BCS bowls. With Michigan already in the Rose Bowl/NC game, that leaves one spot for LSU, Florida (if they lose to Arkansas) or Louisville (if Rutgers beats WV). I'm guessing Florida loses to Arkansas and takes that final at-large slot, leaving Wisconsin vs LSU as the greatest non-BCS game of all time. Why would ND get an at-large over LSU who out-ranks them by five spots?
  11. I'm rooting for Florida only because a Florida win improves LSU's chances of grabbing a BCS bid.
  12. I love it that Eli Manning now sucks. When the Gnats lose, I'm a happy man.
  13. Because he is playing 10ft off the infield. If Pierre was playing LF in Boston he would have as many assists as Manny would have. What evidence or expert opinion other than your own do you have that he has a poor arm? I trust Dewan much more than I do your opinion.
  14. Manny has the arm for RF. I reiteriate, he'd be no worse than Sosa was out there.
  15. I'd like to see LSU play Michigan. That would be a fun game to watch.
  16. I don't sew why he would be any worse than Jones was in right. Jones may be able to get to the ball quicker, but he cant throw it into the infield to save his life. Manny may not get to the ball as fast but he has a cannon. So its a trade off, in my opinion. Manny has a horrible throwing arm. I disagree.
  17. I really don't think Manny's defense in RF would be any worse than Sosa's was in final two seasons.
  18. Washington takes a 10-6 lead over the Panthers.
  19. Manny played a decent RF for the Indians and actually wanted to stay there when he signed his deal with Boston. I think he'd be below average there but not nearly as bad as some think. His bat would more than make up for his gaffes.
  20. Quinn will get drafted by the Lions which makes it guaranteed that he'll suck for most of his pro career.
  21. Horn did make a spectacular catch earlier.
  22. Ya, everyone but Horn...sucks for my fantasy team. I've got Colston though...he qualifies as a TE in Yahoo. I have Colston on my yahoo team as well...along with Winslow and Gates. I'm stacked at TE.
  23. Colston, Henderson, Copper...it doesn't matter to Brees.
