  1. I think we've effectively hi-jacked this thread.
  2. Crititcism of a player should never be considered "hatred." That's hyperbole.
  3. From Marc Stein's power rankings, Link.
  4. Man! I wish I lived closer to Nashville. I'd love getting sigs in that kind of set-up. the only autograph i got last year was tony gwynn jr....he's a cool guy, made himself really accessible to everyone....even had several somewhat lengthy convos with him throughout the season. i might have to work out an agreement with you; you get me autographs and I send you money to buy weed. but i don't smoke weed?!? we could probably work something out, hah. :thumleft:

  6. Road trips with a 2 1/2 year old are getting less frequent. I have to utilize most of the trips to see major league games.

  8. ha ha, Greer is........interesting. It's amazing to think of a AAA park where the players have to walk through the aisles and down the concourse area to leave the park. Definitely a great place to be if you're into autographs. where is this?
  9. Guzman was apparently granted another option because of medical reasons, so he does appear to have one more option year. This is correct. It has been reported by more than one source that Guzman was granted a fourth option year because of the time he missed due to injuries. Yep. Guzman has the extra year. At the convention, Flieta and Hendry said that all the young pitchers had options. When asked specifically about Guzman, Fleita said he was granted an extra option year. Either way, I think he's earned a spot on the team.
  10. I'll never understand how Hendry could justify going into 2005 with the OF he had, which pretty much guaranteed Burnitz would get a ton of playing time. He was, uh, hamstrung by the sosa situation. Which is why we had to have Burnitz instead of Beltran. Or something like that. It's a good thing he didn't do anything silly like re-sign Moises. That would have been a good move. I missed Moises.
  11. My concern about Cherry's success is that it appears to always be late in the game when most team's hitters are minor leaguers. I'd like see him get an inning or two against the meat of someone's order.
  12. Just lose two more games. Please. Just think what their record would be if they didn't start off at 1-3 or something along those lines. That's unreal. they started off 0-4 And have only lost 5 games since then. The Mavs were 11-4 in November, 13-3 in December, 14-2 in January, and 10-0 in February. For March, they are 4-0. Their last lost was on January 25. Their last home loss was December 7th. This is a dominant team. Go Mavs.
  13. Get him some body armor so he can lean in and take some easy bases. Biggio has made a career of it.
  14. After this weekend, should we add Dan Plesac to the list of options?
  15. I'm not sure where, but I do remember Lou making a statement that he doesn't like skipping a starter.
  16. Mavs lead the Lakers by 29 in the third as they go for 17 in a row! Re-Dirk-u-lous! Dirk for MVP!
  17. There's no way Lieber is worth Tracy, much less Tracy and Cruz. I could fathom the Wilkerson deal, but Brad is having a good spring and may be rebounding. While Ensberg for Lieber seems to be over-paying too, the Astros back-end of the rotation is abysmal and could use some help.
  18. Pie isn't going to start CF, at least not yet.
  19. If I'm not mistaken, Prior does have an option remaining.
  20. I think Gallagher may have taken his name out of it today.
  21. Cubs are 3 up, 3 down in the eighth. On to the ninth.
  22. As I said yesterday, as long as Guzman keeps throwing the way he has, I'm not going to get worked up over Prior.
