  1. I'm hoping for a lights out start by Gallagher. Go Sean!
  2. The Mad Hungarian thinks winning the DH gives the Cardinals hope....
  3. God only knows. Maybe they'll flip him. I think that they think they will be able to get back in this thing. They have the last few years anyways. Houston has never been one of the smartest cities in the US. However to their credit they have do have one of the largest stripper populations in the United States :-). They have some of the best Gentleman's Clubs in the nation. Treasures is truly an awesome place. If Vance knows anything about anything, this is the subject. :P I once saw a bunch of Cubs in there a night after a game. Of course, I wasn't paying any attention to the Cubs players at the time.

  5. If what I'm hearing is true about the Rangers' asking price on Teixeira, the Cubs don't have the bullets to get him. Think package of Pie, Hill or Marshall, and another high-level prospect (Patterson, Veal, Gallagher). I'm not sure that would be enough in the Rangers' eyes either. Considering they have Tex for another season, I think Daniels has taken the MO of shooting for the moon and holding onto him if no one bites. He'll probably revisit trading him in the offseason and then make a final attempt at next year's deadline.
  6. This might turn into one of my favorite threads.
  7. This is probably Marshall's last inning. I'd have liked to see him go deeper.
  8. Zambrano does the Reds pitcher matter? Well, it's Matt Belisle I feel better about winning this series now.
  9. It appears the Angels have ended their pursuit of Teixeira. The Rangers wanted three players. The first two had been agreed upon: Kotchman and Saunders, but the two teams could not agree on the third player. The Rangers wanted Brandon Wood or Adenhardt. The Angels wanted to include someone with a much lower ceiling.
  10. I don't think there's any way that Pie is moved in a deal for Laird + Mahay. Pie might be moved, but it will be in a move that brings in a Griffey-caliber player. There's not many of those out there, so I don't see Pie being moved.
  11. Let's get the win tonight, guys! So, what's the pitching match-up for tomorrow?
  12. I really don't see how Dunn's skill set (hitting the ball hard and plate patience) can be projected to disappear in a couple of years. And either way, we'd be acquiring Dunn for this year. I don't think his skill-set is going to decline before October.
  13. You mean White Sox fans can think?
  14. Something tells me that those five may be all we score. This team does that a lot. They put up a big number early and appear to mail it in after that.
  15. Sounds like Marshall had a good inning there. He's been spotted to a big lead early. It would be nice to see him go deep into this game.
  16. Alright! This is how we're supposed to be doing it!
  17. 3-1 count on Marshall, runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out. He gets the bunt down, runners to 2nd and 3rd for Soriano. Thanks!
  18. I'm still exiled near St. Louis. Some pbp would be appreciated...
  19. Not sure. They said we'd receive an email letting us know if we did. I know the voting begins on Aug 6, so I'm guessing some time before then. Probably one of the safest guesses one can have. :D I went back and read on Cubs.com, and it appears I should know something on August 2.
