especially in college. everyone WENT ON THE FIELD AND CONGRATULATED THE TEAM? i have never seen such massive handshaking in my life. i don't believe this, i'll have to see it. I've never seen people rush the field in a football game...never. :shock: you mean that actually happens....and they sang the fight song, the fight song! :shock:

If Bonds will sign for 8 million or less, he should be a no-brainer. That's a huge pay cut for him, and I'm not convinced he could be had for that amount. But...if he can, sign him up.

What I'm hoping happens is that Baltimore becomes so convinced they don't want Tejeda at SS, they a move has to happen. My guess, the Cubs competition for his services will primarily be the White Sox and Astros. Depending on what those two teams are offering, the Cubs might get him for a package less than what many think. I'd offer a package of Marshall + Ohman + Patterson and see what the Orioles think. Initially, it's probably not enough. To sweeten the deal, Cedeno could also be included. Another SS possibility could be Michael Young. While he just signed an extension, there's lots of rumblings out of Arlington that he's very unhappy due to the trade of Teixeira and does not want to wait through a rebuilding period. If he were placed on the market, the Rangers would have interest in Marshall or Pie for sure.

I think if the Cubs can go 4-3, that would be the nail in the coffin. 3-4 might still get it done, but 4-3 and we're in. -
Is he serious? What luck! We haven't won squat in almost 100 years! Gimme a flippin' break!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, there is some of that over there. Actually it seems to be the same guy. But I will remember his words when we win the division next year as well. To be totally honest, I'm more optimistic about 2008 than I am about 2007. Actually, this Brewers team will only get better. They need another ace because Sheets will never be healthy. Wait a minute! I remember being told repeatedly that Sheets is not injury prone.
