According to Lou, Theriot has earned the SS job. But I agree. I'd go after Tejada instead of Roberts.

Aramis has a NTC and took less money to stay here. I doubt he approves a move. Furthermore, offense is our problem. I don't see any reason to trade Ramirez as his production would be impossible to replace.

I'm still thinking a 3-team deal with the Cubs, Orioles, and Angels might be the way to go.

As I said earlier, a don't see the Orioles trading Tejada for Burke and Everett unless there's a very good pitcher going there in return as well.

If the pitcher is Troy Patton, then it's not a bad deal for the O's. If the pitcher is anyone other than Patton, it's a bad deal.

Of course, it could explain why we haven't made any deals... Jim calls the Angels about Figgins... Angels respond with yeah, how about putting Hill out there. Jim counters with Marquis. Angels GM cusses Jim. Jim has lunch with Andy. Andy offers Roberts for Hill. Jim counters with Marquis. Andy stabs Jim with a fork. Jim spends the rest of the afternoon recuperating in his suite.

Ok...back to my 3-way trade... How about: Angels get Tejada Cubs get Figgins and Roberts Orioles get Cedeno, Pie, Marmol, Brandon Wood, and Ervin Santana. Is that enough for everyone?

This is why we can't have nice things around here. :( :-k Like what? I've been asking for female "companions" for every poster for a while now... I'm still all in favor of the NSBB Dating Service. ;) Too much of a sausage fest around here for that idea to really take off.

Somewhat OT, but would you think about batting Soriano 3rd or 4th so he gets better pitches by being in front of Lee and/or Ramirez? Maybe...I'm sure some of that could be moved around some. Soriano could hit third with Lee and Ramirez sliding down.

The Angels could have interest in Tejada... so, could a three-way deal look something like this? Orioles get Gallagher, Murton, Pie, Brandon Wood. Angels get Tejada Cubs get Roberts and Figgins. There could be some other minor players or prospects thrown in to balance things out, but would that framework be enough to satisfy all teams?

If we did get Fukudome, Roberts, and Figgins... I imagine our line-up would be something like: Roberts 2b Figgins CF Lee 1b Ramirez 3b Soriano LF Fukudome RF Soto C Theiot SS Depending on which Figgins we get, that wouldn't be a terrible line-up.

I'd do Prior and Marshall though.... I seriously hope Bruce is right and Hill isn't going in a deal for Roberts. DeRosa is just fine if Hill is part of the price. If we're going to spend valuable players in a trade with Baltimore, Tejada is the way to go.
