    Reports I'm hearing out of Houston is that Adam Everett could be non-tendered in the wake of the Tejada trade. If that happens, would he be an upgrade over Theriot/Cedeno and should the Cubs sign him. His bat is horrible, but his defense is outstanding. If we're going to have a shortstop that doesn't offer much at the plate, it might be best to have one of the best defensive shortstops around.

    So, with this trade the Astros line-up is Matsui 2b Bourn CF Berkman 1b Lee LF Tejada SS Pence RF Wiggington 3b Ausmus C That's a nice 3-6, but the rest is bad. And that's all with a rotation of Oswalt, W. Williams, W. Rodriguez, Backe, and ???? The Astros needed to trade for pitching not another SS.

    If the Cubs got Figgins they wouldn't need Roberts Cubs get Figgins Angels get Gallagher, Marshall and Inge Tigers get Hart, Harvey & PTBNL yowza. you'd give up gallagher, marshall, hart, and harvey (who sucks, so whatever) for Figgins? Yeah, that is a bit much. That's a deal I'd like to give a Dodger Blues response to.

    Somehow I don't think the guys at Orioles Hangout are going to think they've gotten enough. Furthermore, even with Tejada, I don't think the Astros have enough to contend. Their line-up is still going to be brutal.

    Why don't we slip that Ted Lilly character into the 5th spot? I hear he's not too terribly bad. How the hell I forgot Lilly is beyond me. I knew something was wrong with what I typed, but this has been a long morning here at work. Chalk this one up to a brain fart. So, yes... Zambrano, Lilly, Hill, Burnett, Marshall does look a hellova lot better.

    I'd happily trade Marquis, DeRosa, and a prospect for Burnett. While I'd hate giving up DeRosa's versatility and leadership, it's replaceanble. We're going to need a starter to use when Burnett is hurt, but when he's healthy a rotation of Zambrano, Hill, Burnett, Marshall, and whoever we slot in the fifth spot looks pretty good.

    Haha. This is random, and I may be a bit immature, but did you read what some Dodgers forum replied to a guy when he posted one of the insiders rumored trades? I don't know why but I was LMAO. Note: Profanity inside http://www.dodgerblues.com//fanforum/nfphpbb/viewtopic.php?p=186758#186758 I don't think it's necessary to warn us of profanity when referring to Dodger Blues. In fact, I think you should warn us when threads there DO NOT contain profanity.

    If the Reds best offer is Hamilton+Bailey+ another prospect not named Cueto or Bruce, I'm 75% sure that they probably won't get Bedard.

    I think that is highly unlikely. I know that Flo's contract expired this year, but IMHO it would be a huge mistake to let him walk. Quality OLT's don't just grow on trees. I really like what I saw from Doug Free this year in training camp before he got injured and would love to see him evolve but nobody we get would be able to take over right now at the level of play that Flo is currently at. JJ has said that he wants a "playmaker" in the first round, and Phillips has said that he's against taking a WR in the 1st round. I think we'll take a CB and a RB in the first. It would be awesome if Malcolm Jenkins and Felix Jones fell into our laps. I've seen a few mocks where Felix slides to the second round, so there's a good chance he'll be there with the Cleveland pick. Not sure if Malcolm Jenkins will be or not. One mock I read yesterday had the Cowboys selecting Deshawn Jackson with the Cleveland pick, but based on Phillips' comments, I'm not sure if that's where we will go or not.

    If the Reds get Bedard they'll have a good rotation next year. Man, that sucks! If the Reds get Bedard, I have a feeling that Bruce and Votto will be part of the deal.

    It is laughable and pathetic that fans of some teams try to diminish a 12-1 record simply because their teams suck and because there happens to be a team that is 13-0, knowing full well they would rather be 12-1 than losing. It's quite laughable.
