  1. When will the results come out? Selection show is on ESPN Sunday.
  2. Less than one hour left. If you aren't voting or haven't voted...now is the time!
  3. I'll throw this out year since his name has been brought up. What about Dellucci as a trade target? His BABIP is right in line with expected, and he's been better on the road(.255/.417/.521/.938) than at home(.257/.397/.476/.873). Is Dellucci the one who had some procedure that he credits to improving his game(eye surgery maybe?)? He'd looks like he'd be a good fit in LF, and he's under a VERY reasonable contract(850k in '05, 950k in '06). Perhaps the Rangers view his performance as a fluke, and would part with him for some pitching help? EDIT: Yep, Dellucci had LASIK surgery this offseason, which he credits for his improved patience. They might would do Rusch for Delucci or Mitre for Delucci. It would have to be a pitcher they think would help them this year as well as maybe in the future.
  4. Ok...today's game sucked. Let's not do that again. I like winning, much, much better. Go Cubs!
  5. I've talked recently to several friends who are Ranger fans. From what I've gathered, Mench will not be traded unless you're willing to offer Zambrano. Hart and Showalter are on a plan to let the young kids mature together. 2006 was their target. They might make a move to see if they can stay competitive this year, but they will not trade any of the core offensive players to do that. Mench, along with Tex, Hank, Young, or Nix, will not be available. Soriano could be had. Hidalgo, yes. Delucci, yes. Mench, no.
  6. And isn't that a form of trolling? :-k
  7. I've only voted 50 times for those three guys. I feel like I'm not pulling my weight around here. You're doing great. Every little bit helps.
  8. Have you been keeping track of your total votes? I wouldn't be surprised if you were solely responsible for D's 40,000 vote differential. No, I haven't. But except for the 5 days I was traveling, I've done a minimum of 100 votes a day since June 1st. Prior to that, I'd have done about 200 votes maybe. Some days I've cast as many as 500, but I'd say that on average I was casting 200 votes a day.
  9. I voted 25X during each inning of today's game. I had voted maybe 100 times before the game. I'll definitely get a total of 500 in today. Maybe a few more. Keep it up.
  10. Yes! Keep the voting up!
  11. Len just said Lee is up by 6000 votes! Keep it up. The Cardinal fans will push extra hard...so we have to keep up the efforts!
  12. Yeah, that shouldn't happen. I'd say try deleting your cookies and temporary internet files. Then try again. Yeah...something like that has happened to me maybe three or four times. I close the window. Delete cookies. Start over. No problem.
  13. Wanna give me an advanced weather report for next week's series in Atlanta? :joker: This weekend in Chicago and next week in Atlanta. Are you interested in next weekend in Miami? Nope. Just Atlanta considering I'll be there.
  14. I love the Creature, but I could live with a Dubois + Hill for Huff. Huff isn't my favorite midseason target, but he's better than what we have. This deal actually makes sense. The Devil Rays get another young hitter and a pitcher with a lot of promise that has logged some major league innings. This rumor may have some legs. :-k
  15. Initially, my response is a resounding NO! But the more I think about it, I might would do a Zambrano for a package that includes Dunn. If I could send Zambrano and Fontenot to the Reds for Dunn, Freel, and Homer Bailey, I would have to really consider that deal. Just simply Zambrano for Dunn, no. On the other hand, I would be willing to send a package of four or five prospects to get him.
  16. Houston just doesn't have the horses for a sustained run. They'll have some decent streaks. It's hard not to with Pettitte, Clemens, and Oswalt in the rotation. But that offense doesn't scare anyone. They've lost too much thunder that they had last year. It's not going to happen. And even with 16-9 in June, they are still under .500. This isn't their year.
  17. Put your boredom aside and join the effort. Lee needs your help!
  18. Keep voting. I have over 33 spam emails in my junk box today...and I'm going to try to vote 25 with each and every one of them!
  19. That's ok. I used Jabroni's email addy to vote Cubs and checked that he was a fan of the Cubs and Twins. :P
  20. Use the addresses from the spam in your junk folder.
  21. Wanna give me an advanced weather report for next week's series in Atlanta? :joker:
  22. The guys at Red Zone don't think too highly of the returns for Dunn that Mr. Rosenthal suggests.
  23. Good job! I voted 25X each inning today while watching the game! :D Jeez, if he wins, Derrek owes you a portion of his All-Star bonus! Maybe he'll mention me in his acceptance speech. :D
