    Chavez is a baseball fan like his idol. It did not affect BB in the early 80's when the governernment started the take over. It is a source of national pride and a way Chavez can push his agenda.

    Really? I don't know for a fact, but I thought Pie was much faster than pretty much anyone else except Soriano. I don't know that 1/100 of a second is going to make a difference in scoring, esp. with an unproven rookie.

    I believe we brought this up two years ago and many people thought that the Brewers would be ready for some type of run this year, they have shown steady improvement, unlike us. The definetly are making a show of it.

    Murton in CF? Yeah, there's a reason-he would be a disaster defensively in CF right now. that's right soriano's defensive skills will be missed. At least Murton plays the outfield. Soriano's defensive skills would be missed if Murton was stuck out there. You can't stick a guy who has played LF his entire career and doesn't have unbelievable range at that position (average to above average) into CF cold and expect them to cover it. If Murton trained all winter to play CF, he maybe could play it at a below average to average level, but sticking him out there in the middle of the season with no work there would be awful. I just expect all my outfielders to be professional and be able to play any field, maybe not well but in a pinch he should be able to, Murton has decent speed. Maybe it something he should work on so he can get into a game once in a while

    Is there a reason for not playing Murton in CF now? Must have been a slap to him when he heard the Levin comment today.

    does it really matter if the central stinks, we were al terrible last year and the Cards won it all. Maybe this is a good sign
