He was a great manager as long as that talent he had stayed together or were not injured. no he was not a great manager and he was responsible for injuring some of his pitchers. I am agreeing with the fact he was lousy, what I was saying was that he thought he was great but it was due to the talent around him and not his ability to manage

And that label is applied by racists So, the analyst at CBS sports are racist, and the Redsox scouts are racist, who characterized his defense as such, it is a weak sword to draw in his defense. Use the race card to push the opponent back on their heels so they are defending. Question: Do you believe Bob Brenley and Ron Santo were Racist? All I did was point out that he wasn't in front of the ball in the photo, and I pray that every Cub is working on their defense.

    How much mescaline do you consume daily? Are you really a Cub fan? or do you just follow them once in a while? Are you telling me that ARam has never been criticized for his defense? or that Ron Santo and Bob Brenley have never mentioned it on the air? http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/messages/chrono/25672432 On defense, his range factor of 2.29 is not great, thus setting himself up for a label of poor defender, though he has improved greatly, I wouldn't put him in a Santo or Brooks Robinson catagory, let alone Evan Langoria but none the less the label is there.

    The pic of Aramis makes him look like he isn't directly in front of the ball like a third basemen should be, but we know it must be the camera angle because Aramis always gets in front of the ball :roll: Still love you A Ram!!! Keep working on the defense

    too late for that. I'm just hoping he can contribute at this point. yeah, I think that train left the station 5 years ago. LOL this is what we have been hoping for what seems like the last 10 years. He seems like he has been around longer than anyone else on the team. I wanted to say I hope he doesn't pull a Prior or even say we should get a calendar and through money into a pot betting and day and time of his next injury, but I didn't want to sound to pessimistic so early in the season.

I figured with you knowing everything you would provide a proper answer. I guess I was wrong. The written word is hard to pick up sarcasm, but then again sarcasm is is a little high thinking skill. Why don't we call a truce, because I am sure you can pick at my post all day and reading yours I could pick them apart.

    Living in Ohio, right across the border, in 79, it was a heavily Pit. Pirate fan area and they must have played "we are family four or five times and hour. A great manager that had a heck of a lot of great talent. Stargell in those hideous yellow outfit.
