    Not sure why you'd include Koskie in there. His is a minor league deal. It's a low risk move that could pan out. We could have used that minor league deal to buy 10 maple bats. I just hope anyone we pick up surprises all of us

    why should they? They have sun, beaches, babes and sand plus a well publicized night life. who would want to go to a game, no matter what it is. besides that all the CSI's are good looking. Move them to OKC

    Schilling has "Z" envy and wants to swing the bat. Chick dig the long ball. I'd take him based on his good lookinfg wife. We call that the Mia Hamm/Nomar factor

    He's also expected back in the outfield on Friday. I hope they didn't water the field or a ball is hit his way. Maybe we could drtess him in a football uniform for his own safety

    Hes a starting 1b on a non-playoff team and a very good #1 PH off the bench/back up 1b on a playoff team agreed, that's how i view him. actually he probably doesn't project to be much worse than lee over the next three years so if we could find someone dumb enough to take lee off our hands at full price, i'd be all for it. That's exactly it. And I hate thinking it, because I've been duped by the Dave Keltons of the Cubs past, but I really can't see Hoffpauir being THAT much worse than Lee over the next few years. Agreed, and Hoff is a fantastic defender as well. I know it's only ST but I'm starting to get my hopes up for Hoff too. Just remove his age from the equation -- is it really that difficult to imagine a guy who destroyed the ball consistently at AAA last year being decently productive at the MLB level? One of many names to drop....Rosy Brown. Boy that sounds depressing, I hope for the best for Hoff.

    Tejada, hmmm wonder what the first clue was? The quick weight and muscle gain or the winning of the homerun derby by a shortstop? When he popped up as leading the league in homers should have been a warning to test him

    It is a great idea if it was the second or third criteria for hosting the WS. 1st should be best winning record 2nd If both are tied with #1 then best win/loss in playoffs. 3rd all-star game winner
