    Boy, I am glad there is another optomist here, I know they'll come back and win in 06...Ok that is if they can rebuild the pen and get some consistant offense, as well as learn fundementals of fielding so they aren't one of the top teams in errors. Can we officially drag out the Wait till next year motto yet?

    Anybody notice (like it actually makes a difference) that Aram was safe at second on the dbl play in the ninth. I rewound my DVR 6 times and the second basemen pulle his foot off before the ball was in his glove. Same play that killed the Cubs in Col.

    WaWaWA, "its not ove until the fat lady sings!" Ok, she is clearing her throat, but we have several series with Houston, and there old man offense won't sustain this pace (maybe there pitching will) The glass is half filled, we still have a chance, besides I hate football and basketball season. This is coming from a guy who lost his transmission this weekend in the middle of Colorado, saw a man shot to death and had his two dogs sprayed by a skunk.

    Cut Nomar a break he never had a chance to get6 out of a slump before injury. How about Wood? What a waste of money, what about Hendry getting Williams. I agree it is baker that plays him but to be specific with a team sport is pretty tough thing to do. How about Walker hitting into two consecutive Dbl plays

    can't believe I am agreeing with Bob but, What about a bunt from Walker? doesn't dusty have the Huevos? Walker was sucking up a storm , mix things around get the defense off gaurd. Frustration sets in

    My heart bleeds for him!!! I teach 12 different preps a day from 6-12th grade, It is my job to do so, it is his job to hit the ball and get on base or maybe even not hit the ball and take a walk. Yes, hitting a baseball is very tough and there is a lot of pressure for him to perform. How about the pressure that a teacher has if their students don't pass a state mandated test, and they don't get paid millions of dollars. pressure he doesn't know pressure, i had a kid this year that killed a classmate with a chair sitting in my class because he made bail. I think everyone knows how I feel about Corey, he is a nice guy, great outfielder but he is just a glorified copy of Shwon Dunston.

    I was going to make a Fergie comment when I saw the title of this thread, but you beat me to it. Kudos for working the Garry Maddox reference into your post. Nicely done! :wink: This actually reminds me of my reaction when we traded George Bell for Sammy Sosa. I originally just heard that we had traded Bell for Sosa, and my reaction was, "Elias Sosa is still pitching?" Our local minor league team the Dillas has a guy named "Billy Wiliams" (my all-time favorite) and a pitcher name s. Carlson Maybe they are an old timers league now
