  1. This article contradicts Tejada's contradiction. :D Baltimore Sun
  2. I don't see Dusty playing Murton, Cedeno, and another rookie/prospect. I like the idea, but I don't see Dusty being up for it at all.
  3. Rogers at it again Trib How this guy has a job is beyond me.
  4. neifi perez fans breath a sigh of relief Well, it was fun dreaming for a couple of days. Back to reality and a middle infield of Neifi and Cedeno. :x
  5. Only way the Cubs would trade Prior or Z is if it netted us Cabrera.
  6. Seconded! Oh yeah. A bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush. And well, this is a BIG bird. I like having a thread with just news on this deal but its going to take weeks for this thing to go down. Man, I must need sleep, because I read that wrong and was thinking "aren't you a little *too* excited about this trade opportunity?" Maybe he took Viagra before he found out the news...
  7. He's fragile, remember.
  8. I have serious doubts of him wanting to play for the crappy Orioles and having to pitch in the AL East. The only way he might is if the Orioles pick up his 2007 option if he's traded.
  9. So what? This one is about news. The others have become trade ideas and possible lineups. People don't like to scroll through pages after pages to see if anything new has come up.
  10. Pretty good article about Pierre's work ethic: Link Lots of good stuff in that article. Definitely worth reading. Sounds like Pierre works his butt off.
  11. What did Peter Angelos say? From Saturday's Washington Post: Link
  12. Sunday's Baltimore Sun Article
  13. Found this over at Orioles Hangout Don't have any idea what sort of "announcement Duquette would make, but let's hope this is true. Also, according to this Washington Post Article, the Orioles have known since this past Monday that Miggy wanted to be traded:
  14. I think you have to add the LA Angels to that list. I could see them sending Cabrera to Boston and then trading for Tejada. They could blow our deal out of the water in terms of prospects.
  15. I'd probably rather have Abreu, but I think it's more realistic that we get Tejada. I think the Orioles would be willing to accept a bunch of top prospects for Tejada because they really don't have a chance to compete this year in the AL East. I think the Phillies at least have a shot at competing in the NL East so they would rather get a solid ML pitcher for Abreu instead of just prospects. Williams, Hill, Cedeno, and Novoa to the Orioles for Tejada. Get it done Jim. :D
  16. I still fail to see why Manny would approve a trade to a perennial loser like Baltimore. Exactly. I don't see Manny waiving his NTC to go to Baltimore. And I also don't think Manny would all of the sudden make Baltimore a better team. They need a whole bunch to be competitive in the AL East. They're better off preparing for 2007 and beyond instead of putting everything into 2006.
  17. On the latest ESPN 1000 update they said a source close to Levine has told him that Tejada would be interested in playing for the Cubs.
  18. Yeah. He's talking about the Tejada thing right now. Sounds like the Cubs have very serious interest. He also said if the Orioles think about trading Tejada things would go very quickly. So if the O's GM is smart, he'll start by asking for Prior, Z or ARam. Hendry will say no, so then the O's GM has to look at Leo Mazzone and his PC, and think that it would be smart to build around pitching first. So we can offer Hill, Williams, a reliever, and a position player prospect (probably Cedeno). Would that be enough? This is a scenario that having Pinto or Nolasco could really help. Levine was speculating Hill, Williams, Cedeno, and maybe Patterson would do it. I think that's all he said. He might have said another prospect too. I forget.
  19. Yeah. He's talking about the Tejada thing right now. Sounds like the Cubs have very serious interest. He also said if the Orioles think about trading Tejada things would go very quickly.
  20. Baltimore Sun I'm liking what I'm hearing so far. Make it happen Hendry.
  21. Please trade him to us Baltimore. Please.
  22. I'd rather have Twalk too, but it seems like Hendry is hellbent on trading him.
  23. I'd love to keep Walker, but it seems like Hendry wants to trade him. With the Reds trading for Womack and looking to sign Aurillia it makes Freel more expendable. How about trading for him and plugging him in at 2b? I'd love to see his .370 OBP (.375 and .371 the past two years) batting 2nd in our lineup. Put Cedeno at SS and bat him 8th. Thoughts?
