  1. I would like a cleaning of house too, but mine would be far different. MacPhail, Hendry, Dusty, Clines, Sarge, Dusty's kid, The Tribune Company, and Rothschild all need to go. It's getting so hard to root for this team with all the horrible mismanagement that's going on.
  2. Jeez, 4 walks in one game? Have the Cubs released him yet? His stat line so far this young season: .176/.481/.176/.657 That IsoD is Dunnesque. Now if he can just get that slugging up.
  3. Tonight? I thought he was returning on Monday. Cubs' brass probably figure that one extra game will be the difference in the Cubs getting back into the playoff race.
  4. I can't wait to hear the tirade Ozzie goes on if he does get fired. :D
  5. Come talk to us when you're close to 20 games under .500. Then you might know what it's like being in our shoes.
  6. He looked much better this time. He was hitting 92-94 consitently on the gun with a high of 95. Still wild though. Missed his spots by quite a bit. His curve ball was so-so. Still wasn't as sharp as it has been in the past, but he was able to get it over the plate a lot more. His fastball had a lot of movement on it tonight which was a complete change from his last outing. He showed flashes of the Prior of old tonight. It was fun to watch.
  7. And Izzy blows another save tonight. Cards were beating the Tigers 6-4, but the Tigers score 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game. On to the 10th. EDIT: Tigers score the winning run in the bottom of the 10th on a walk-off double by Polanco that scores Granderson from 1st. Cards lose again.
  8. Haha. Cedeno sitting on the bench looking like he wants to kill someone. Gotta be getting old losing all the time.
  9. There was no other position player left on the bench, was there ? Nope. He was it. Glad we have 7 pitchers down there in the bullpen and an emergency catcher as our back-up catcher. The Cubs are run so well.
  10. Randy Wells not doing so hot in his first start at AAA. He's given up 7 runs on 9 hits in 3 and 2/3 innings. :x
  11. Fred, how many shutouts has this crappy offense had this year if you include this inevitable one?
  12. Cubs with 6 singles, no extra base-hits, no walks, and 2 stupid baserunning blunders. A usual night for this crappy team.
  13. D Lee with a groundout to SS in his second at-bat in Iowa. 0-2 so far tonight.
  14. You gotta like the movement that Prior is getting on his fastball tonight. He's a bit wild, but his fastball has a ton of movement.
  15. Prior not hitting his spots now. He's all over the place. Not even coming close.
  16. Nice. Strike em out, throw em out double play. :D
  17. Prior sailing through the first 3 innings. :D
  18. He has to say that at least 5 times a game or Hendry will call up to the booth and yell at him.
  19. Jim Hendry is on the phone looking for another second baseman. Preferably someone who played for the San Fran Giants 4-6 years ago.
  20. Tiny Womack in serious pain after the play.
