    Miller is topping out in the low 80's during his rehab stints. He's not going to be an option next year.

    I could see Hendry trying to sign Adam Kennedy to play 2b next year. He's a free agent this coming offseason, and is basically Todd Walker with less pop and a better glove.

    Great. So next year we're going to have a lineup that has Pierre, Izturis, and Cedeno in it. That's a lot of pop. :x I actually like the comments about Dusty. Doesn't sound like he'll be back next year. And yes Jim, you are the reason this team sucks and why it will suck next year as well.

    Thanks for posting a link. I guess I'm underwhelmed by these deals. Thanks for all the info you have shared with us. I think its pretty cool that someone in the media still posts on a message board and leaves themselves open to critizism. In your opinion, what would you like to have seen the Cubs do? Thanks Ben I wouldn't have given Walker away for one thing. I would have gone the "prospect" route with Maddux, provided they were the right prospects. I just don't see this trade as making a big, positive impact. Izturis is probably OK in the right spot in the right lineup, but how many times have we seen that with this outfit? Any confirmation on who the prospects could have been? Kemp or Guzman like Carroll reported? Will Carroll appears to be right on. If this is true it appears we have the worst GM in baseball. This trade just keeps getting worse.
