    Is there any chance we won't see another lefty the rest of the season?

    You know he's been playing some outfield (and I remember an article about 2+ months back about him spending time after games practicing center and left) and by all accounts has played good there, so it's not like he's a outfield virgin. I understand that, but he's still a 2b and has much more value at 2b than he does in LF. It's just sad that we don't just play Murton, and that for some reason the Cubs feel Epatt is the best option from the minors to play LF.

    he could have tried. Because pitchers are used to going up there and swinging at big looping curveballs that curve away from him.

    Epatt would have scored 5 runs by himself. We'd have about 10 already. Also, why will Epatt be playing LF tomorrow? What's the point of that? Murton must hate playing for the Cubs.

    Wow. They finally cut ties with Wade Miller. Color me shocked.

    Why? Marshall and Hill will be fine. Don't worry about it. But Marquis wont, so there is reason to have concern about our rotation. Gallagher has been pretty good at AAA. He could take Marquis' spot in the rotation.

    The latest SCORE update says Hendry is looking to make a waiver deal for either Dunn, Craig Monroe, Matt Stairs, or Ryan Church. Taken with a grain of salt of course since it's the SCORE.

    Well, we need a leadoff hitter...At least that's their thinking. We have one. He's that little guy who's been playing SS for us.

    I'm guessing he's coming up to play outfield since the Cubs don't seem to like his defense at 2b and we have 15 second basemen on the team already.

    Epatt? We have to be nearing the record for most people added to the 40-man in one season. And we clearly have a shortage of middle infielders. Epatt has been playing some CF lately. Still have to wonder why they wouldn't just bring up Pie. Exactly...why bring up a guy to play him out of position, when your top propsect that you would trade at the deadline is ready to come up and learn at the major league level? I'm guessing the blurb on cubs.com might be a typo because it says "top prospect Eric Patterson". Last I checked Pie was our top prospect.
