  1. How do you determine which part is the black hole and which part isn't? Looks like all crap to me.
  2. Jones is so bad he makes me wish for Macias back.
  3. Glad we only managed to score 1 run in the 1st. :x
  4. I'm guessing the batteries on the scooter were low. He just needs a recharge.
  5. Why on earth does a team need 13 pitchers? Ridiculous.
  6. It was reported by WSCR yesterday. I was listening when they reported it. It's true.
  7. In the popup window confirming your vote, it gives who you voted for and the time. Does that time keep updating too? It's not for me. yeah, my latest time voted was 12:49pm which was the last time I voted. Don't know what's up with that.
  8. Um... So I just tried to vote again after voting a while ago and not clearing my cookies. It's letting me vote over and over again, and it adds the 1 vote to the vote count everytime I place another vote. Wonder what's up with that. I'm using Firefox for Linux.
  9. How many teams are above us? Right now, the Cubs are tied with L.A. and Philadelphia (have no idea how they handle waiver claims in that case). The teams in front of us are: Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Houston, Washington, Florida, St. Louis, Colorado Florida's out-salary issues. San Francisco and Pittsburgh seem unlikely-what would be the point? Houston and Colorado-probably not. That leaves Washington and St. Louis as the most likely teams to claim him, and I'm not sure the Cardinals have enough salary to make a claim (so basically they'd just be trying to block the Cubs, which I'm not sure they'd do). He'd pass through. It would all come down to Washington, IMO. Bowden hasn't been shy about showing his man-love for Dunn, but it wouldn't make much sense for Bowden to give up a bunch of prospects for a rental when his team isn't in a playoff race. But there is a chance that Dunn would be willing to talk about a contract with Washington since Kearns plays there and they are BFF. I don't see any other teams below us getting in the way though. L.A. might be interested, but I don't know how that works with teams that have the same records.
  10. Just clear out the cookies and you can vote again.
  11. You know he's been playing some outfield (and I remember an article about 2+ months back about him spending time after games practicing center and left) and by all accounts has played good there, so it's not like he's a outfield virgin. I understand that, but he's still a 2b and has much more value at 2b than he does in LF. It's just sad that we don't just play Murton, and that for some reason the Cubs feel Epatt is the best option from the minors to play LF. the question i have is does epatt really have any value as a corner outfielder at all? Um... NO
  12. Bruce Levine mentioned this morning that Hendry is interested in Stewart.
  13. I just voted for you a couple times and sent the link to co-workers. You should probably stick to your day job though. You suck at singing. 8-)
  14. I'm not sure, it sounded like they wanted someone who is a top of the order guy, not a middle of the order guy. And that statement in and of itself shows how idiotic this team is. Yep, because all this team needs is more speed.
  15. I really wonder if Kroeger would have gotten the call had he not been injured. I just can't for the life of me figure out why we would call up Epatt to play LF.
  16. I particularly like it in the 'dog's' context. Look it up. Its not right to mention in a thread about the Cubs just now. mutts nuts sounds better. :P
  17. First move of the 2nd half: Drop Soriano, add Matt Holliday
  18. I'm guessing Pie didn't get the call because he's just returning from a leg injury.
  19. So how many 2b will we see in the lineup tonight?
  20. welcome to sucksville... man, i made a deal with soriano at the start of the mets series (he didn't know about it, of course, but that doesn't matter)...the next time he hit a homerun i was going to buy his shirt... bollocks sucksville I like the word bollocks. We should use it more in the States.
  21. Can't really blame the Cubs' pitchers, since they only gave up 2 runs on 4 hits tonight. Our offense is just sad.
  22. Can't wait to see that outfield of Epatt, Jones, and Floyd tomorrow. Should be a great time.
