  1. The Reds are throwing Harang and Arroyo at us. It's going to be a tough series. We've got our top 3 pitchers going in the series and we're playing a team that's 9.5 games behind us in the standings. We should win this series. That said, I'm not very optimistic.
  2. Like was mentioned, Theriot had one great month of July where he had an OPS over .900, but has been pretty awful every other month. He has a .330 OBP which is not good for a leadoff or #2 hitter. You couple that with Fonzie's OBP, and we have a 1 and 2 hitter who are below average at getting on base. Not exactly what you'd like from the guys hitting in front of your RBI guys. He's 20th in OPS for all SS. Not really setting the world on fire. Sure, he's shown great defense at SS, but I'd like to have a little offense from the position as well. The Riot doesn't hit for any power and has shown that he's not all that great at getting on base either. He's a great utility guy who's been forced into a starting role because we have no other opttions. I'd love to see an upgrade at SS this offseason.
  3. I like Theriot a lot, but quite frankly he's destined to be a utility player, whereas Pie is going to be fixture in CF for us for years to come. We'll have to agree to disagree. The Riot has a .685 OPS on the year. His slugging is atrocioius and his OBP is pretty sub-par as well. He's nothing more than a good utility player. I would definitely take an upgrade at SS. It's pretty obvious that Tejada has had enough in Baltimore. If he doesn't cost an arm and a leg, I'd love to trade for him.
  4. Pretty cool that it came in a walk-off too. He's definitely the type you root for. Seems like a really good guy.
  5. Alright. I like to put pressure on my OWN team, so I'm gonna say the Cubs need to win 8 of 12 to ice this thing. We shouldn't expect less. It's a bunch of tomato cans the rest of the way for us. No reason at all to expect less than 2/3 in these final series. The Reds still worry me. Espically the series starting tomorrow. Arroyo and Harang always pitch well against us. The Reds' series this week scares the crap out of me. I could easily see them winning this series with Arroyo and Harang going for them. Hopefully Z pitches a great game on Tuesday night against Harang.

Does Oakland still have fans? If so, they're all bashing their heads in in unison.

    NFL Week Two

yeah, that was impressive Would have been even more impressive if it went through the uprights. Looks like Denver is going to win now.
  8. Is Murton still on the team? Might be nice to see him in RF for this game.
  9. Terrible game for the Cubs, but I expected them to split the DH. Get 'em tomorrow.
  10. I'm just glad Kendall is out of the game.
  11. I never cared much for women who I knew could kick my ass. Please. I'd let her kick my ass anytime.
  12. http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/7443/38768qra4.jpg This girl is about to fight in an MMA match on Showtime right now. Nothing better than a hot chick who can kick some ass.
  13. This team drives me nuts. Every time I think they've turned the corner and are on their way to the postseason they crap the bed like they're doing in tonight's game.
  14. Yep. Prevent defense is terrible.
  15. Wow. Ark just fell apart there. Bama fans are going nuts. It's really loud.
  16. The refs are helping Bama make a game-winning drive here.
  17. Pitching twice in one day after all the arm troubles he's had? Can't say I like this at all.
  18. Remove him from the team please. That's garbage.
  19. Cubs need to get their heads in the game. Jones thought there were 3 outs after that catch.
  20. depleted bullpen There's like 12 guys down there. Hardly depleted.
