    Cubs have the shift on. Aram is basically playing SS right now. Pretty tough to defend a stolen base.

    Ben Sheets may miss his next start,,,We are in fine shape. He may miss a lot more tha that, and dont forget that we face the Pirates this weekend and most likely miss Gorzelanny and Snell. UMFan83 has Zambrano facing Gorzelanny this weekend in his "Probable Starters" thread cubs.com also has Gorzelanny going on Sunday. Not only that but the unstoppable Zach Duke on Saturday. Career 4.20 ERA, but a 1.57 career ERA in 7 starts against the Cubs :?: cubs.com and espn.com both have John Van Benschoten starting Saturday's game for the Pirates. The Pirates have announced that they are going to start Duke on Saturday so they can have 3 left-handers going against the Cubs. Ouch. We're screwed.

    I'm sure they will and I'm sure it's not that big of a deal to them. But it is a little ridiculous that the Astros throw out 3 garbage, no-name pitchers in games that are supposed to matter.

    They're facing Atlanta on the road, so hopefully their road woes continue and Atlanta takes 3 out of 4.

    This is ridiculous that the Astros are throwing out another terrible, no-name pitcher. I'm surprised MLB hasn't sent them a letter because they sure aren't "keeping competitive" like Selig wants all teams to do no matter where they are in the standings. Oh, wait... Selig has ties to the Brewers and would love to see them in the playoffs. Nevermind.

    Typical Cubs. They have a great comeback win that should give them some momentum, and then of course they crap the bed in the next game.
