  1. Maybe. But I'm guessing that to the casual fans with money that want to be cool and go to a Cubs playoff game, they'll be more inclined to pay more for tickets in a section that begins with 2 rather than a section that begins with 5. Either way, I don't think that selling them will be a problem for either one of us. True. I'm trying to figure out if I want to sell one of my games or go to both. I'm a little worried game 4 could be a Sunday night game, which would conflict with the Bears/Packers SNF game. Of course, it'd be an 8:00 start, which really should be reserved for a west coast game. Where are your game four tix?
  2. I love how many people are scoring bleacher tickets 20 minutes after my 'best available' were section 516.
  3. I have some pretty crappy seats in section 516 for game four. Anyone with a seat for me for game three is welcome to one of mine for game 4, and I'd pay the face value difference.
  4. 4 tickets, game 4, section 516, row 6. Definitely not what I was hoping for, but I'll take it.
  5. too close to go time - what do the prices look like?
  6. The phone number for out of state customers to purchase by phone.
  7. The phone number I'm dialing keeps saying it can't be reached from my calling area. That damn well better change in the next 3.5 minutes.
  8. The way I read it, the rule is that you can get four tickets period and have to choose between game 3 or game 4.
  9. I've got 20 windows and 3 phones going, but I also have a bad feeling about my chances.
  10. I'm nervous. My plans for coming back from Cali for the weekend pretty much hinge on this. Good luck everyone!
  11. That's the key. If the Cubs win tomorrow we could very well make this happen before the Cincy series. I think the Braves have a great chance to win the game tomorrow and Monday the Cards have Wainwright going against Bush. We could gain a ton of ground in a hurry! Tomorrow isn't just key in terms of numbers in the division race, but it's important in that Z's running out of time to show whether or not he's going to have it together. The Cubs could very well go to the playoffs with Z continuing to be unreliable, but they're screwed once they get there. Tomorrow will show us a lot more than how quickly the Cubs will or won't wrap it up.
  12. Marmol, if he's available. At that point, anyone who didn't start the game is an option, so if they need a lefty to come up and Lilly hadn't been used yet, he's a possibility too.
  13. Between now and the Cubs arriving in Cincy: Cubs play 4 games (1 vs Pitt, 3 @ Fla) Brewers play 5 games (1 @ Atl, 3 @ StL, 1 vs SD) With the Cubs' magic number being six, that means that Cubs wins plus Brewers losses has to equal six over those nine games. While the Cubs are definitely good enough to take all four of those games, I have a hard time believing that's actually going to happen. I think Gordz beats Z tomorrow, and Cubs will do well to take 2 of 3 from Florida. I also don't believe the Brewers will lose any more than two of their next 5. They may not make up much (or any) ground over that time, but I really don't see the Cubs having it mathematically locked up by Friday. I will predict they clinch on Saturday.
  14. First thing's first, Derwood is on vacation and could need a spot start. A sweep could be on the line.
  15. It was a walk-off single, not a walkoff homer. And it was 4-3 :) All these "stats" and "facts" of yours don't interest me, and they ruined what is otherwise a perfectly good point. Jerk :)
  16. I wanna see a chart like that that shows the Cubs' chances at the post season. But only if they make it.
  17. Silver lining for the Brewers is, that botched DP didn't really cost them anything. 3-2 or 5-2, either way it equals 2.5 :D
  18. <3 Tex. This definitely takes away a little of the disappointment of not landing a deal for him, since he's still playing for us 8-)
  19. Chipper already used up his GIDP for the day. Right?!
  20. when enough Cubs fans root for any team, that team begins to play like the Cubs. If the tradeoff is that the Cubs keep imitating whatever team it is they've been imitating this weekend, I'll take it.
  21. Good thing that wasn't the heart of their order that just choked so quickly... #-o
  22. Riot singles, two on with no out.
  23. Um... Wouldn't you? Most definitely. I just wouldn't have done as well with the song.
