Rule of Cub #32: Any time the Cubs trot out a crappy pitcher against another team's ace during an offensive slump, the Cubs will somehow manage to score a ton of runs while the crappy pitcher goes 7 innings while giving up only 2 runs. That makes sense, because how else is the manager going to justify keeping said crappy pitcher in the rotation 5 shellings later.

That would be great. But I think Lee could go 0 for the season and still hit 3rd, so the best bet is to hit Fuku 2nd, which is where I think he'll end up by the end of April. Plus, with Soto hitting the ball hard every AB, it's only a matter of time before he breaks into the top five lineup spots (top six if Riot somehow stays in there). Either way, it's encouraging that a moran like sullivan can realize that short, hustling, scrappy, whitey isn't getting the job done. Hopefully Lou won't be much more than a month behind. -
Agreed. I'd like it to be quick. Painless isn't an option, so just get it over with so I have the rest of the day to find crap to amuse myself and forget about how much you blow.

I wonder when opposing managers are going to invent the Theriot outfield shift, where the right fielder plays 10 feet off the line and 75 feet behind, and left and center fielders both shift over 1 position.
