  1. Z's average skyrockets up from .000!
  2. She'd have to wait until I'm done with him. This is how I would have responded.
  3. GEOVANY SOTO I'm sure at least 2 others have posted this by the time I click submit I was expecting that many before I finished asking the question. Jokes aren't supposed to get old around here, what gives?!
  4. Where in this organization are we going to find a left fielder? Our $136M star just got injured, and it's not like we have whole spare teams of players anywhere...
  5. No, they're using him to plug up the bases until Dusty finally benches him.
  6. If I were to watch this for 100 hours straight, I'd probably be smiling/laughing the entire time. Beautiful.
  7. I hope the Cubs can put up about 8 more runs next inning. No way I can stay awake for the whole thing, gotta be up at 0330 EDT, and any fewer runs would still leave me nervous.
  8. You must fear the wrath of Soto, yet also admire the mercy.
  9. When is the last time such a (insert team name here)-killer played for the Cubs? DeRo is ridiculous.
  10. HRs and doubles off the wall are by no means gritty.
  11. I'm a pretty big Dusty fan these days.
  12. With how Corey-ish his approach has been, I wouldn't be opposed to Lou chewing him out, if it's what it takes to get him to make necessary adjustments to produce consistently.
  13. I worked in a cave for 12 hours today, and as I was on my tirade about how stupid Soriano is, I was comforting myself internally with the thought of Murton finally getting a little playing time, and if nothing else, proving a little trade value until Sori comes back. I didn't even consider the possibility that there was another option that even someone as dumb as Hendry could fathom. I feel ashamed. P.S. Screw you, Hendry.
  14. It's remarkably weak sarcasm, and whoever uses it as such should cease immediately.
  15. I was just getting ready to break out the little graphic explanation... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/cubbybear314/Random%20Cool%20Shit/caring.png
  16. I didn't expect Philadelphia to be such a pit, nor did I think it would be so full of pricks. Easily the worst visiting fan experience I've had so far (I haven't had the pleasure in StL). Win or lose, I'll be glad to be gone, but it sure would be nice to have something to cheer about, Cobs. Please at least hang around past the fourth inning.
  17. always a good policy  I wonder which would get us more money - CT's ticket for tomorrow, or CT himself on the black market? Either way, the Cubs will thank us.
  18. weather.com has the storms clearing up by 9-ish. Anyway, off to Pittsburgh then Philadelphia. 5 Cubs games between now and Sunday. Yea. Five of them. Awesome. See you guys Monday.
  19. I thought the '97 Cubs were closer to record-setting than that. How disappointing.
  20. Thundershowers predicted for the Pitt area tomorrow afternoon on weather.com. Any of you experts have further opinions on how weather will affect this one? Those of us who are going to the game ( :P ) are particularly curious.
  21. Not a fan of the Win stat, but that is pretty sweet.
  22. His OPS tanked by 66% in a week. At that pace, he'll be down in Theriot territory by the end of the next homestand. Color me concerned. Clever the way you're talking about 66% in your 6,666th post. Symbolic of how Fuku obtained his superhuman abilities?? hmmm... :-k
