I saw he was touching around 94-95. What’s his normal velocity? Decent movement, he’s Just hanging way too many over the plate. -

Obviously, there is tension with many of the fans because of the frustration due to how they have been playing recently. That is totally understandable. I see your point about they need to take things seriously because as the old saying goes “horsefeathers around. And you will find out.“ However, I do agree with Squally that lose their horsefeathers and blowing up isn’t gonna help either. Bottom line is we as fans are frustrated. The players should take every game seriously because the way the national league is playing out it’s gonna be tight for us to get in the playoffs. Nothing is given or guaranteed.

What’s the pulse of the fans right now with the Cubs clinching playoffs? Also, how are we feeling about clinching a home wild card series? Just curious how most of you feel.

I just think playing a three game series at Wrigley would make a big difference. Crowd, knowing the field, etc.

Still a decent amount of games left in the regular season, but I agree…..that top WC spot is crucial

The division is not happening - I am more worried about the top wild card. Philly two games and they could have it by mid week. Hopefully the Cubs can get this horsefeathers out of their systems now before late September/early October

Like I said - they’re elite in many areas. A projected 90+ win team, and are more than capable of beating anyone. I just never get that feeling of “we are starting (fill in the blank), so he’s going to give us 6-7 innings.” I really hope they can secure that top wild card spot. Their odds would drop considerably having the WC round at Philadelphia or Atlanta/LA. I know - I’m off the ledge lol - just concerned about the inconsistency in some areas.

I don’t want to be that guy…….but why do I get this “Doom and gloom” feel around this team? They’re on projection to win 90+ games and are elite in so many areas, but I just don’t get a good feel about where they are. Phillies are on a terror and have three shutdown starters. Most playoff caliber teams have at least a couple guys they can roll out and compete each game. Cubs pitching staff is just hold your breath and hope they bring their stuff. Then the bats are so hot and cold. I just have a bad feeling - 🤷♂️
