  1. Others already said, but yes - definitely looks like a JD signature. Thats awesome your son got an autographed ball! Good memories had today it appears. Autographed ball with your kids and a Cubs win to seal first round home field. 👍💪
  2. Did you take more than a minute to come up with that one? Good job 👍
  3. Don’t deserve a real debate ….hmmm yet, here you are commenting 🙄 that’s about the level of hypocrisy and ignorance I’ve seen from a few here.
  4. Or the simpletons like yourself that literally make comments like you just did - lol you’ll never be able to see your own words truly anyway, so 🤷‍♂️
  5. Now THAT is an intelligent response. I mean that - you stated something that isn’t divisive or offensive. Thank you for a civil response, unlike some other close minded individuals here. Whether people agree or disagree shouldn’t be a problem. You responded disagreeing with me and it was done with an intelligent statement. I’m not being sarcastic one bit. Thank you for your response and doing so in an intelligent manner. Your example can hopefully show some of these others the right way to debate.
  6. No more high ground here pal - I’m as flawed as anyone, I was just stating the obvious. I believe it was you and some others that took it personally. Go back and read my comments - I never once called anyone by name. Since people like you were guilty of conscience, you decided to call me choice words and get rather defensive. I called some simpletons out of their “Nazi” comments, among other nasty comments, and just trash talking of another person. Again - do better buddy
  7. You see, Brian, I never once said if I was a Kirk supporter - you, along with some others here are blinded by your ignorance and hatred that you so ignorantly call those that disagree with your views. It is the definition of hypocrisy. Again - we live in a country that still has freedom of speech and religion - things of that nature. I could care less about your views….we may even agree on some things and we may disagree on other things. Hate and people being careless with their words have consequences. It causes the same divisiveness that you claim others do. We are only responsible for our own actions. Do better
  8. Don’t waste your time or breath on imbecile nonsense- some of these guys just don’t have a conscience. No point arguing with them. Thank you for calling out some of their hypocrisy
  9. Thanks for proving my point 🙄🤦‍♂️
  10. This site has quite a few people shooting off about a man’s death because they have different opinions than him. I could care less about what you believe, but At the end of the day - how about respecting the fact that he was a father, son and friend to others. Oh yeah - and a human being, so either talk baseball or keep your hate filled opinions to yourself. It’s not cool - period. When I signed up here I was hoping to have discussions about the Cubs - ups, downs and anything else, but about BASEBALL. Not political nonsense. You are the reason this country is divisive. Grow up
  11. I feel the exact same way - just very little life; especially offensively. Pitching had a couple let down games, but their bats is what will get them bounced from the first round of the postseason. Yes, I understand the Padres and Mets are struggling too, but this Cubs team is very inefficient to say the least. It wouldn’t be shocking to see them bounced first round.
  12. No argument there - all fair and good points. I, like any Cubs fan, feel we would fair much better at the Friendly Confines than in SD. Just hoping they can get back into somewhat of a “groove” before the playoffs is all. Also, my wife tells me to “take some breaths” when she hears me downstairs carrying on during some games 🤷‍♂️😝
  13. Will they win 90?? Obviously, the statistics would show that they would. However, the Reds and Mets are fighting for their playoff lives every single game, so I’m not feeling good about the Cubs winning maybe one of these next four games (if any) and the cardinals are a rival. So with their cruise control, “ho hum” attitudes, I’m concerned about reaching 90+ and putting the Padres out of reach. The most important part of all this that concerns me as a fan is the lack of consistency & lack of momentum they will have going into October. They’re a capable team, but just wayyy too inconsistent I feel.
  14. I literally just asked that to a buddy of mine! Lol All the teams they play are fighting for their lives and the Cubs are still sipping champagne and riding a sweep of the pirates.
  15. They did last night, so hoping they can again. It’s sad that the Cubs can’t help themselves this weekend
  16. Are they really going to get swept by these guys? I know it’s only the 7th inning of this one and tomorrow yet to play, but with facing Abbott tomorrow, I feel if they don’t get this win today, they’re getting the broom 🧹
  17. I made a statement about two weeks ago….Nico Hoerner is the MVP of this team in my opinion as a fan. He is hitting nearly .300, steals bases, going to win a gold glove, and is all hustle all the time. Just a positive attitude and leads by example. He has become my favorite Cub over the past couple years.
  18. Goodnight good people of NSBB - I feel a Reds sweep 🧹 coming on
  19. This is tough to watch - Boyd and now Shota. Very unsettling going into October.
  20. Good Lord man ……what’re they going to do to Shota in the postseason? Get it out of your system now fella
