  1. Don’t let DYMNO see you post something negative about Benjamin Brown
  2. Obnoxious you say? Ben Brown hasn’t done anything besides shown that he’s not a MLB pitcher YET. Not saying he couldn’t develop, but this season my friend, he hasn’t shown anything besides being a liability. If that’s obnoxious of me - well 🤷‍♂️ I didn’t call him names and cut him down. THAT would be obnoxious. I’m simply stating an opinion. If you’re that offended by my comments, then not sure what to tell you guy
  3. Can’t argue that - their bats were nonexistent tonight, but Brown and Pomeranz combo is a recipe for disaster. NOT hindsight and all - because Brown has been a liability nearly all season
  4. How is that guy still in the Show?? How many times does he have to show Counsell and the gang that he sucks? Where is my buddy that says “he’s learning the ropes?” lol They give him enough rope to hang himself every single time. Pomeranz giving up that homer was rough, but due to Brown’s runners it’s now a three to one game. Guy must have something on the Cubs to still be up and working a “bulk role” joke
  5. Horton - I’m sorry on behalf of Ben Brown and Pomeranz.
  6. Kittridge you stud!! Not gonna lie - didn’t know how that was gonna go. Suzuki on as a runner is solid with a hit bat in Happ up. Lfg
  7. Seiya looks at meatballs and then is outstretched 90% of the time when he swings. Guy either destroys the ball or reaches for it
  8. Either way - this is a win today! Shower fight and grit and clawed back. Good stuff! Shaw and Santana let’s go!!
  9. Carson listened and wrote in his journal - he said, “stfu Papa Cub! I got this!”
  10. Counsell is smarter than you and everyone else don’t you know that?
  11. Carson - may I suggest what you could write about in your journal?
  12. DYMNO!!! You’re coming around to seeing the reality of this team right now. Last time I believe you schooled me on how Benny Brown needs to “learn the ropes” I believe was the statement. Brown is not good….this team over performed the first half the year…..they are just showing us the reality of the situation. Like you and many on this forum, I love this team and hope they can snap back a bit and get right. However, it’s okay to state facts and opinions. Sorry, not sorry, for the sarcastic reply at the beginning. Just ribbing ya man 👍 F it…..GO CUBS!!! least Shaw is becoming a stud!
  13. Personally I agree. There are others they feel we NEED him. Guy can play, but little to no effort on many plays throughout the year. Let him break someone else’s bank
  14. He’s also saying the excitement is not there about them if/when they make the postseason because of what we have been seeing the last month or so. Not just today, for those that are shortsighted; it’s been consistently average for quite some time now. I understand the guy’s comment about how their play has made it hard to get excited about their playoff chances once they enter October. 🤷‍♂️
  15. Happy Labor Day to all of my friends and foes on the NSBB forum! Regardless of some of our differences or what have you, one thing I can say is this - you are all passionate about your Cubbies! I enjoy the banter and discussions. No matter what else and how the team plays (and I vent and complain like some), We all can agree on this - GO CUBS GO! Maybe they can do what we are all hoping …….go on a terror and (to quote the movie Major League) “win the whole f***in thing!” have a great day folks 💪👍
  16. Totally agree! She has to advance her career when able. Just selfishly, hope she sticks around 👍
  17. I agree with you on the fact that baseball is one of the most unpredictable sports; therefore, you’re correct - any of those twelve that make the postseason could win it all (including the Cubs). Personally, I just see something off with the team MORE than some of the others you mentioned (Phillies, Dodgers and Padres just to name a few). Records do reflect a team’s overall performance of the season - no argument there. Again, not to beat a dead horse, but the Cubs’ inconsistency is what concerns me as a fan is all. 🤷‍♂️
  18. I saw that - honestly I had to do a double take. I hope she stays with Marquee - I do like the commentary with her and the guys.
  19. I agree with that statement and comment because they are clear cut facts. I agree - what Kelly, Seiya and PCA did wasn’t sustainable for long term. Totally agree….so are we an average team overall? I guess that is the question we as Cubs fans are a bit afraid to answer. I really do hope they can just find some consistency in their game. No doubt some guys are struggling more than others and that’s gonna happen, but at their core, are they just another average team that outperformed themselves early on to set them up for the playoffs? I’m not really sure ya know 🤷‍♂️Either way - GO CUBS!
  20. Exactly!I have said things like “this is not a slump - slumps you work out of eventually.” And guys have took odds with me saying that and made huge stinks about speaking the truth. They are going to make playoffs and are not a terrible team. They have the talent and potential; however, what many of us fans are seeing (those living in reality) is this: this team is “off” and this play since the break is more than a slump. Something isn’t right. I agree with you - it’s more than a slump and right now this team is showing us who they are. Hopefully they get right and play like they’re capable, but until then, just call it what it is. They’re playing like ass.
  21. I agree with your statement, “when someone watches one team(their team), they tend to see their flaws.” I appreciate your reply here @Rcal10. What you said makes a lot of sense, and we can both agree on this - GO CUBS!
