  1. Yep - 6.0 or less. Then go to work on their pen hopefully
  2. Anyone else feeling less stress or nerves tonight? Nobody is expecting the Cubs to win this game - in a way, that’s a good thing……play loose and don’t stress for the players and coaches. Same can be said for the fans - enjoy some baseball and just watch what happens - never know 🤷‍♂️
  3. Regardless of this outcome - 3 wins is great in a series like this, and Boyd looked solid!
  4. Again - many people claim the whole “hindsight is always 20/20” or “he did his job” (after pitching 1-5 pitches to get one out), but Counsell is notorious at doing that since the days with Milwaukee. To me it’s like he goes strictly off data and analytics. Baseball is huge with that no doubt, but sometimes just go with the horsefeathers hot hand, ya know?
  5. It really is - standards have lowered with many from our pen It is what it is
  6. Phil Maton is guaranteed hot garbage nearly every time he takes the mound
  7. Yeah, he pitched a hell of a game - horsefeathers defense like that you have to feel for the guy
  8. 6 errors - who cares…..take the win! The Cubs are hitting again! With RISP!!
  9. I can’t watch live due to blackout - why did Shota get pulled? Only had like 69 pitches
  10. Cubs bats seem to be awake (well, most of the team anyway), but Shota doing Shota things I see 🤷‍♂️
  11. I understand you have a six run lead, why must they always seem to make it dramatic at the end? This team is frustrating as hell lol. With that said, glad to see some guys coming out of their slumps and a nice win. Go Cubs.
  12. Please bring in someone to close this game for goodness sakes
  13. He’s definitely heating up - that’s encouraging to see for sure
  14. I live outside of Philly and our forecast up through here and NYC is bleak all week with the exception of Wednesday. That’s most likely why the doubleheader is scheduled for then. All week looks rough
  15. I totally agree and understand - many of times, I have “missed that beat” haha 😂 I do appreciate this site (those that created and upkeep it), as well as all the members who post on it. It’s nice to have a place to talk baseball, about your team, and at times - to vent your frustration. 🤟🏼
  16. Your comment about the 30 teams is so true - I am quick to go doom and gloom for sure (especially after today’s 8 runs given up in 1.1 innings by our pen). The expectations that surrounded this team this offseason had my hopes up really high (I’m sure I’m not alone), so it is not uncommon for fans to be highly critical of their team. Not saying it’s right, but that’s the nature of fandom at times. However, your post is a solid reminder to keep things in perspective. I see a lot of different type of fans on here who I believe love their team. Many of them know baseball really well, and I enjoy reading the commentary from both sides. Some people use it at times as a “vent session” - sorry for the lengthy post .i do appreciate your post & reminder
