Yep - Warren is going nine today. They haven’t worked him at all it seems. I’m watching gamecast, so not the same effect. Are they just trying to wrap this game up quickly or something? It must be painful to watch this offense today.

I have the MLB Extra innings package, and I know about the blackouts, but still get absolutely annoyed that I can’t watch the Cubs when they play Yanks, Mets or Pirates 🏴☠️. Gotta love how these streaming sites can drive you crazy

No argument there - so you feel the biggest need is SP? In other words if you could get Skubal you would take him over getting Mason Miller? Im just asking to get other people’s opinions and takes. We all want the same outcome - Wins and deep playoff run.

Thanks for the reply - my take is this: Rather than spreading out too much (SP, RPs or Right handed bat etc), address your biggest NEED. Right now, our biggest need is a closer or bullpen. So I am wondering if Jed just hones in on one specific area of the pitching staff as opposed to trying to get quantity…..I’d rather see them go quality instead of quantity. With Cabrera and Brown coming back within the month, I could see them going to look for an arm to close or bolster the bullpen

Hmm……if you’re Jed and you have Cabrera and Brown on the horizon, do you concentrate more on shoring up your bullpen, or go get an Ace? I guess I was so hellbent on them getting a top SP, I never thought of them going all in on a top available closer. Could you imagine a Webb (7th), Palencia (set up role), and a top reliever? That would help a lot. SP rotation by mid- August could be: Shota, Boyd, Brown, Cabrera, Rea/Assad. That’s actually not too bad with shut down closers in place. Thoughts?

Yep - one run games. Tough losses, but 5-2 is not too shabby, but I understand because that’s how I see it too.

That entire game minus one hit from PCA was boring as hell - Boyd pitched well, but this one was rough overall

I love the fact that not only is Bregman getting hotter at the plate, but I love the fact he’s hitting the ball to the right side of the field…….keeps the defense honest. Boog and JD mentioned that him allowing the ball to travel in a little seems to be helping him.
