  1. i think that randle will shut tucker down. I would think that pretty unlikely. Especially considering the fact Weber said he was giving Randle a "Crash course in post defense." He's likely to get in foul trouble on the road anyway. If Tucker scores under 20 I'd consider it a job well done by Illinois. that would be a first, seeing as how nobody has scored 20 on randle yet, and he always draws the opposing team's best offensive player. The streak stays alive. :D It's a shame that he really doesn't have a shot. If he can develop one in the next two years, he could be a first rounder.
  2. What about Mauer? He is 5 years younger than Martinez. Also, I would try to be the one that drafts Felix if that is at all possible. He is a stud.
  3. For a second there I thought it was talking about the horrible AGonz as opposed to the just very bad one that used to play in Florida.
  4. During the season - Minor leagues During the offseason - Socials (only forum I check on a regular basis)
  5. No, he never will be that because he is a selfish player that doesn't get the most out of his teammates. Bash Jordan as much as you want for how he treated Cartwright or other players, he did it in a way to get them to play harder.
  6. I agree. LeBron is showing a maturity early on that is reminiscent of some of what made Jordan so great in the 90s. He's an explosive scorer and leader, but he also makes his team better. That's not to say that LeBron is Jordan or vice versa, but LeBron is impressive. Kobe is a dominant player, but I can't say the same praise about him. Lebron cant be Jordan, he's not the killer that Mike was. I'm not saying Lebron is the next coming of Jordan. In fact, as much as I like Lebron, I highly doubt he'll reach the heights that Jordan reached as a player and leader. That being said, he's the closest thing we have had to Jordan since his 2nd retirement and he displays flashes of what made Jordan so great. However, there will never be another like Mike. Ever. As much as I hate to say it, there will be a player that is better than MJ one day or another. It may not happen for another 10 or 20 years but it will happen.
  7. None. It's bad enough that Penn State is in the Big 10.
  8. If Randle-El is the type of player you're looking for, just draft Brad Smith. No thanks. The window will be closing on the Bears within two or three years, and Smith is raw. I'd prefer a vet WR; we have other projects (Bradley, Berrian, etc.). And you wouldn't be biased, would you? Nah, if I were biased I'd be telling people to draft him instead of Vince Young. :D Seriously though, they are similar talents. Both were running college QB's. Randle-El is probably a touch faster(although Smith isn't slow by any means), and Smith is more elusive with the ball in his hands. Smith's ability to catch the ball is a bit of an unknown, but that's why you work him out as a receiver to see how well he does. If he's got the hands, he has the other tools(size, speed, agility, elusiveness), that you'd value with Randle-El. Yeah but Randle El is a much better route runner at this stage in his career. That is something that is also very unknown about Smith.
  9. FYI, Mel Kiper has Davis projected going #11 to STL. The Bears would have to move up @ least 15 spots to have a chance @ him, if these projections held true. He also has Pope going to the Bears @ #26. I doubt the Bears would move that far up in the draft. It would cost them too much. TE is supposedly one of the deeper positions in this draft. Kiper is usually pretty inaccurate until it gets close to the draft. I don't think that Davis is going to go that high. Davis will go that high or even higher. If Davis goes in the top 10, you can make me any sort of sig to use for a month. That isn't going to happen.

Kiper is usually pretty inaccurate until it gets close to the draft. I don't think that Davis is going to go that high. He definatley isn't going to go any higher than 11. So the most we are going to have to move up is 15 spots. It wouldn't take a huge amount to move up that much.
  11. Vernon Davis Video Wow, I really want to get him at all costs after watching that video. I would be more than willing to trade up if necessary. He has some really amazing abilities after the catch. He carried 5-6 guys in the second clip. Sorry Raisin :D
  12. If Randle-El is the type of player you're looking for, just draft Brad Smith. I want a wide receiver not a quaterback. :P On a serious note, if we are going to get another receiver I would rather have it be one that can make an impact rather than someone, like Brad Smith, that will take a couple of years to maybe develop into a decent player. We don't need any more projects at the wide receiver position.
  13. I don't want Randle El. I have heard some pretty negative things about him from Steeler fans.
  14. I think it has more to do with the fact that when you get Jake to move around he becomes wildly inaccurate. Both the Bears and the Seahawks did it in those two games. It also doesn't hurt to deny him his top receiver. He has shown in the last several years that his numbers go down greatly when you take away his favorite target.
  15. Go Seahawks!
  16. Woooo! Go Seahawks!
  17. If he gets called up, he is going to get the Hill/Welly treatment (throw out of the bullpen once every 10-15 days).
  18. Northwestern is such a boring team.
  19. That's because a high percentage is not in the military and isn't close to someone who is. Um, no. But interestingly enough, I made that exact same statement to one of my high school teachers back in Gulf War I - she was for that invasion, and had a stepson hip-deep in it. I don't have the time or the inclination to get into this at length, but Ms. Sheehan aside, far more of those who are close to those in the military "get" the war than those who don't. By "get" the war do you mean blindly support it because that way they feel their loved ones aren't risking their lives for nothing?
  20. Ugh...no. To both of those ideas.
  21. Good luck trading up into the top 5. New Orleans should trade down. No top pick will want to sign him them. We don't have enough to trade up though. Unless you want to trade multiple picks from next year's draft (like the 1st and 2nd rounders).
  22. Good luck trading up into the top 5.
  23. I can't believe that high of a percentage would still want to invade.
