  1. Someone called the Show with Dibble and Kennedy yesterday to complain about this. According to Dibble and Kennedy, the exclusive deal wouldn't begin until 2009. Of course, I'm not sure I'd trust those two...but that is what they said. If Dibble is the answer, your asking the wrong question. That being said, the article mentioned that the Baseball Channel was set to debut in 09. I would imagine if 700m is thrown on the table, DirecTV want's it done now.
  2. I remember seeing it for 79.95 each of the past two seasons. I have already began my search for the best way to bring MLB.tv into my house. I would switch to DirecTV, but it is not an option and that sucks!
  3. I guess (for me) this means my first season with MLB.tv. I have used it some in the past, but not as my primary method of NON WGN Cubs games. For those who currently rely on MLB.tv, how is the reception? I would imagine the faster your internet connection is, the better the quality? Altough the image will always suck on streaming video, at least the lag and latency will be better with high connectivity? Oh, and to echo what others have said.... THIS SUCKS!
  4. Well, looks like a deal is in place! http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/20/sports/baseball/20base.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin I would imagine this would be effective starting this season. The article mentions a full Baseball Channel (much like NFL Network) by 2009.
  5. Wondering that myself. It appears he made a rude comment towards Prior as one of the MC's said.."There is one in every crowd" Prior went on to say in the interview that he "sucked" last year and is making changes to improve this year and go back to what he was. Ted Lilly sounds like an accountant. Glad he is not paid to conduct steller interviews!
  6. Yep, mentioned he likes things infront of him
  7. DLee scheduled to appear with Fonzy and Barrett, however...unless I completely missed it, he was not on.
  8. I noticed that, why publish something without putting any effort into it?
  9. I believe Michaels just signed with them, would be suprised to see him involved in any trade....
  10. This is really poorly done, I don't think you can put the Brewers 5th, rank the Cubs 9th and leave Wuertz out. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=169240
  11. Sweet Lou was very good. Likes The Riot for center and in general. Thinks the entire ballclub is solid and also enjoy's putting on a show when getting tossed!
  12. Dempster claims he lost 20lbs ... looking forward to being fit for 2007. Believes he has a chance to really have a great year. Eyre, sounds like Eyre... DeRosa, nice comments, claims we will love Fonzy.
  13. Just finished watching the evening news. WTMJ 4 Milwaukee is reporting 3-6 inches of snow up to and during the game on Sunday in Chicago! Should be fun....
  14. Who the heck is Roats? Could this be the brother of Roast? ;)
  15. You think he can still actually hit a baseball?
  16. Great win for you Bear fans. Good game to watch, I thought a couple times the Seahawks were going to steal the victory, nope! Can you believe a Packer fan actually pulled for the Bears today? ;) Gett'n ready for a great game next week, should be exciting!
  17. Meh, just a minor league deal and an invite to ST. Nothing confirmed yet. I doubt this will turn into anything major.
  18. An average of 105 yards per game since coming back from his injury is nothing to laugh at. If that was his average, maybe you'd have a point, but it's not. Besides, he's only rushed for that much twice in the 8 games since he's been back, and he's averaged just 3.69 yards per attempt. You confused me by this... perhaps I miss calc'd ? As Soul mentioned, those numbers are elevated due to his 200+ against GB and SD. That being said, he isn't the RB he was last year and Hasselbeck is an average QB right now. I have a gut feeling the Bears will win and could win big, However... IF, and it is a BIG if, Hasselbeck finds his stuff, that opens up Alexander to have a nice game. Just a thought.... 778 yards in 8 games comes to 97.25. Remove his high game and his low game and you get 90. And the point still stands, he's averaged only 3.69 yards per attempt, which is not "running strong". Point taken! I was a bit presumptious on claiming him "running strong" I guess it will come down to more than Alexander and Hasselbeck.
  19. Alexander would have to start running strong before he can continue running strong. An average of 105 yards per game since coming back from his injury is nothing to laugh at. 21. If Hasselbeck continues his struggles, the Bears should win even with Grossman at QB. However, if for some reason, Hasselbeck shows signs of last year and Alexander continues to run strong... Seattle wins this game 31-24.
  22. Personally I think the Bears will win and represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. I have yet to buy into the fact that they could beat a Charger team or New England, even Baltimore, but the Defense will rise to the occasion and Rex can only get better, it is almost impossible to get worse, correct? That being said, pray for cold, and snow. It can only help the Bears and their pursuit of the NFC Championship.
  23. Until I see what happens in ST, I can't answer that. He's not rehabbing from surgery, so right now I don't see why he couldn't be there. I'm not a doctor and I haven't seen his medical reports, so I don't know. Considering there is still four months to Opening Day, I don't know why he shouldn't be ready to go. Don't make it longer than it is...
  24. Suppan is the right hand version of Doug Davis without the walks.
