  1. He was asked to be there by the grieving widow of a friend who was murdered. Put political stances aside for a moment and consider being in that position as a 24-year old. It's okay to dislike his association to Charlie Kirk and still extend a little grace. The guy that needs to buy a vowel summed it up. The whining is insufferable.
  2. Morality is subjective. There is no single, universally accepted standard for morality. What is moral to you, may not be to someone else, so claiming moral superiority is ultimately foolish. I literally already made this point.
  3. I find the irony of this statement quite amusing. lol
  4. His achilles heel is trying to do too much to make up for the shortcomings of the team. His WR corps today consisted of Shakir, a 1st round bust who was benched several times this season, a 32-year old they picked up a few weeks ago, Curtis Samuel coming off the IR, and a call up from the practice squad. It's criminal how much of his career they have already wasted by giving him WRs off the scrap heap.
  5. What you missed was the point. I like Rob, but his post was grandiose, self-righteous posturing. Politics be damned, every person on this forum has skeletons in their closet. Matt Shaw is no more of a jackass than anyone else here, and I will include myself in that. It's an uncomfortable truth that most people don't have the courage to confront.
  6. You are speaking from a self-righteous perspective. Human morality is inherently subjective and imperfect. There isn’t a living, breathing person on this earth that doesn’t hold beliefs that are immoral to someone else, whether they are shaped by religion or an ever-shifting social consensus. We are all jackasses.
  7. Jed is pretty transparent. We can take him for his word here.
  8. Rick Mirer
  9. No other club in sports history.
  10. None of this is groundbreaking news. Bregman pushed Shaw to the bench and the Cubs don’t feel compelled to make a trade. That’s the right call, IMO. There are enough ABs to go around and the Cubs are a stronger team with all 3.
  11. All of St. Louis immediately pivoted to the Chiefs bandwagon when the Rams left.
  12. This is the kind of stuff that will sell me on a move I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about. Great to hear!
  13. I think you can add Suzuki to the two with potential to be unproductive. We’ve seen some dramatic hot and cold stretches with him.
  14. The Cubs have the ability to overpay where a good 2/3 of the league doesn't. This is absolutely how they should approach free agency and the players they covet. It's nice to see them act like the big market team that they are.
  15. Is it just that he has a punchable face? Because I feel this way too.
  16. 500 goals for Kaner tonight. And he is just 6 points from passing Modano for the all-time lead for US born players.
  17. I like Furlong a little more than I liked Allan.
  18. Montgomery's tenure with the Blues is going to be short.
  19. One aspect I haven't seen anyone really highlight is Bichette's willingness to move to 3B.
  20. And this will be all of us when Jed signs Gallen, then Bichette, then Tucker...
  21. Would be nice if we could start getting some smoke on Bichette soon.
  22. Seems like Hernandez has been in the system longer than he probably has. Jed deserves some kudos for this one. We scrutinize him pretty intensely here, sometimes justified but other times unfairly. He did well in this trade.
  23. I have so many questions.
  24. Jed has always faired pretty well in trades. We always knew this deal was going to start with Caissie. I'm comfortable with that. Caissie, Long, and lower level prospects feels like it gets it done.
