  1. Hell of a game for Marshall- 7 innings, 5 hits, 1 walk, 5 K's. Eff Brian Anderson. 2-3-4, gotta make it happen.
  2. 2-3-4 next inning hopefully Sean shuts him down and they bring in Dotel.
  3. Too late to edit this crap... It was though. I don't fault him much there.
  4. Oh here's the "Ozzie ball" in 2005 stories again.
  5. Jim Hendry needs to send a tape of this weekend's series to the league office to have issues like this resolved because this has been awful umping all weekend. What issues will be resolved? At most they say "sorry we missed the call. Try to do better next time."
  6. yeah, his OBP isn't near .400 or anything. His OBP is reasonable, but his baserunning mistakes and his defense really hurt him. The Cubs could upgrade, imo. Nice curve! Reasonable? It's the best in baseball among SS.
  7. I don't think it was technical difficulties. Peter just heard the crack of the bat and crowd on the video and went into a trance.
  8. Home plate umpire Rob Drake has a website that is "inactive due to legal restrictions." http://www.theumpirelife.com/
  9. Because he doesn't walk a ton? That .920 OPS is just no good is it? I'm not saying he isn't good but the fact is his OBP isn't impressive at all and once he hits a dry spell he'll go back to being a league average player His three years with the Sox he's had an .887 OPS and it's .920 this year. He hasn't been a league average player since coming to Chicago.

  11. It's funny seeing all of the people who were demanding for more playing time for Ronny (even while Theriot had a .400+ OBP) now want him sent away.
  12. I don't have a big problem with that. Buehrle wasn't going to walk him and he got a pretty good pitch to hit.
  13. Hell of an AB for Henry, at least we're making him work this inning. Ronny needs to be his selective self from May right here.
  14. I think Cabrera gets to that ball if he doesn't kick it. Either way Geo probably doesn't score.
  15. I was just coming here to check the weather and see if anyone noticed the clown in green. Good work.
  16. It's best that players don't analyze their stats that much. Obviously he wants strikeouts and avoid walks. But ultimately it comes down to preserving the lead and getting the last 3 (or 4, 5..) outs.
  17. Geo may be our only chance next inning unless Lou PH's Murton for Fontenot. Either way, Geo is probably our only chance.
  18. Am I the only one who didn't know Aramis wasn't hitting lefties all that well this year? .984 OPS against RHP, .774 against LHP. I would assume Thornton will stay in through Edmonds.
  19. Alright at least he gave us 5 and slowed them down after the first.
  20. Mind explaining to me what kosuke did wrong there? Was it the horrible strike that he took for the first pitch or was it the pitch at his eyes he didn't actually swing at? Dude we get it the ump is inconsistent. He still swung at an awful pitch on 0-1 and he went on the last pitch. The second pitch wasn't a whole lot worse than the first, so one could assume he was swinging because if he didnt it would be called strike 2 anyway. Furthermore, I dont think he swung at that last strike. Even WITH that bad swing, however, he STILL should have walked. You can make a bad swing in an at bat and get away with it, he should have. What are you talking about? The second pitch ended up in the dirt and further away. Why don't you think he swung at the last one? He didn't argue, the home plate ump called it. He went. What was he going to do? Stand there and swear at him in japanese? Really? Because he's never stood there and disputed a pitch all year, right? He went and it really wasn't that close.
